Snap! I've just received 4 Airfix Lightning F.6's
Courtesy of Airfix's Father's Day offer; after all
4 for the price of two? It would have been rude

If one more member does the same we'll have enough for a squadron.... ;)

Anyone who buys anything from that tatty jumble sale run by an Uncle Albert clone deserves to be ripped off.  Can't see how he has any business.

Plus his stupidity and greed could have cost lives had the fire alarm at the Huddersfield show in February been a real fire.

I have many, many words for him and most of them would get me banned.  Cheeky is not one I would have used.  The mildest is probably conman or perhaps spiv is nearer the mark.

True Lee, but surely the show organisers/stewards should have checked he hadn't blocked any exits ?  I've been to the shop in Bexley and whilst to a certain extent resembling Steptoe's yard the guy in charge is the complete opposite in character. Very quiet and bookish. Mind you this was a while ago
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Chris........SWMBO'D will be at work.......and i was surprised at his prices as i have found him reasonably priced in the past.

Yes, I agree he was stupid but it's also the responsibility of the organisers to make sure that doesn't happen.  Someone there should have insisted he didn't block the exit, they would have carried the can if the worst had happened.  They were woefully slow and disorganised in evacuating the hall.  The Fire Officer at my work place would have had a fit if we were that poorly organised.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

1/144 vacform Boeing 377
1/100 Playfix Tu-60 Bear.

If the cross-section of the Domini is the same as the Bear, an interesting kitbash.
Going to search for a 1/144 de Havilland Comet series 3-4 and use the wings to create a flying boat with the vacform fuselage ans shoulder mounted wings.

Airfix have re-released it so it shouldn't be too hard to find. It's a 4B, without the extra wing pinion tanks though, so if you want those you'll need a conversion kit as well.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

There was one of those on show at Telford last year, and what a MAGNIFICENT model it is! I've got the ancient FROG/AMT 300SL kit and that's amazing, specially as it's 40+ yrs old now, but the Tamiya kit is just jaw dropping!
