And a few years ago at the Brampton show, he went and brought a second Dora kit! Only for it to cost him dearly when his wife found out. She keeps Shire horses. He ended up having to buy her another one just to keep the peace.

Well, at least if push comes to shove you could eat the horse.  ;D

I'm pretty sure I've seen one done in the action figure scale 1:6

And here it is! http://www.vonabt.co.uk/models/Dora/index.html

Scroll halfway along and you'll see it in the guys driveway.... bigger than his Jaguar car!
Actually, the whole thing might just fit on an artic truck  :o

Strewth! It's HUGE! And he's a Brit too, his car, a Mondeo actually, has a Brit number plate.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Knowing women and horses I think you'd be better off trying to make a meal of the Dora
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

It would probably have done, if I'd only had time, space and coin of the realm

In Abergavenny market yesterday, one of the "Friday market junk collectables stalls" had sundry very elderly Airfix kits, and a HUGE box  containing an AMT-ERTL kit of an XB36......"with extra parts to build a  YB36!!"

Didn't look at the price, but most of the other stuff on the stall was reasonably priced.  Should I have pounced on it?????  It's not really my sort of thing, and too big too for my shelf.

Shouldn't that be XB-35 etc. the Northrop Flying wing?

AFAIK the only 'One true scale' B-36 was by Monogram/Revell. And the B-35 box sure is big, not helped by the fact that most of the model is only two parts, top and bottom!  :o

And the kit parts occupy just one corner of it  ---- you can get four complete kits in the box  --- (and how do I know   ;)  )

No probs. Having just built my Northrop Northampton B(PR)1 the darn thing's foremost in my mind.

Ordered from the bay, Orange Hobby F-35C and ZTS Plastyk Hawker Hunter, both 1/72.

Airfix BP Defiant (new tool)

Enjoyed the first one so much I had to have another.  I'm thinking coastal patrol/ASW, possibly from Gibraltar.  Or doing a post war gunnery trainer, the turret getting a pair of .50s instead of the 4 .303s.
