All I picked up at yesterdays Peterborough in their shiny new venue was a car kit . A SnapTite car kit at that .
But it is quite easily a Whiff!

Gord GT90 Concept SnapFast from AMT/ERTL. It does need some screwing and gluing to finish it but it should be OK for my little niece who spotted my stash tidy and demanded a kit to do herself.
If she doesn't like this one then I'll have to do it my way!  ;D

NARSES2

As mentioned in my blog I was recently dissuaded from getting another Airfix Defiant because of an approaching birthday. Well I got the Airfix Dogfight Double of the Do 17 and Defiant from said person (I must have been a good boy ).

So Defiant is slated for my navalised version. FAA circa 1940 ? The Dornier will be Dutch thanks to a suggestion from Weaver and as per his suggestion it may have US supplied engines
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I don't often post in this thread although it often makes amusing and interesting reading, I must admit!  However, I have just found that I am the proud winner, thanks to EvilBay of a 1/72 Vacuformed Tu-126 Moss transport.   Now, to convert it to something useful or will I just use the thing for spare parts?

That'll be one BIG box then Brian! I did one in 1/100 scale from a VEB kit back in the 70s and that was big enough!

Well, I arrived home from work this arvo to find sitting by the door a metre long box!  With some fear and trepidation, I brought it in and opened it up.  My GOD!  The bloody kit is huge!  Where the F__K am I ever going to display this beast?   What have I let myself in for?   :banghead:

Sounds like you're going to have to plan that one carefully! :D

First addition for me for a little while today. I went to my new LHS in Derby to pick up some supplies, and came away with a Wyrd Miniatures figure called "Yamaziko", an oriental style figure with a big spear. Fancied painting something different.

Also on the way is a Master Grade Rick Dias mecha, from the Zeta Gundam series. :)

Into each life a little rain must fall I suppose.........

I lived in Derby from '69 till '82 or so.

I can think of better places, although it's improved somewhat now.

It's alright, though I'd rather be back by the sea. I really miss it. But means to an end, etc. I spend half my time in Leicester anyway, as that's where all my placements are. Will very likely move back down to the coast when I qualify.
