I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

The nice post lady delivered this to me today:

Canuck Models recently made a package offer of one of their two sets of 1/72 CF-100 decal sheets to go with a limited run of the Astra vac form Clunk kit.

Needless to say, my resistance was next to nil for an offer like that. Due to the rarity of the kit and that nature of the offer (decals thrown in) I'll be going real world with this.

I'll probably also try to get my hands on the resin upgrade set Obscureco made for the Hobbycraft kits to save myself some scratchbuilding.

Keep forgetting to do this!

You see, i bought a couple of kits of a nice old gent, who lives in Poland, reducing his stash, and a change of interest and medium.
My polish is non existent, his English, not much better, but emails have been passing back and forth now for the last year, mostly about life in general.(thanks to google translate!)
Anyhow, the result is every 4-5 weeks, a parcel arrives. I never know what's going to be in it, but have received some nice wee gems,
and always costs the same, €20!(Including postage )
So, this morning my '€20 lucky bag' arrived, containing...

1/100 VEB Plasticart Tupolev Tu-20
Novo Mustang-Night Fighter
1/72 Blackburn Buccaneer...(I assume its an eastern european repop of the frog kit?)

At some stage i should put a complete list of what he has sent me.

Cheers... Ray

Due to arrive next week:
1/144 scale Revell Landing Ship Medium

Just ordered from Amazon:
1/500 scale Space Battleship Yamato  (There are 2 different 1/500 scale kits. One which is about 20 inches long. And the second which is about 26 inches long and is more detailed and accurate. I ordered the 26 inch long model.)
Also ordered a 1/500 Expansion Set for the Yamato. This is a detailed interior hangar bay you can insert into the Yamato kit. It also includes 20-30 tiny fighters. How cool is that!
Modeling isn't just about how good the gluing or painting, etc. looks. It's also about how creative and imaginative you can be with a subject.
My modeling philosophy is: Don't build what everyone else has done. Build instead what nobody has seen or done before.
