Received a much needed new jar of Gunze acrylic in the post today.
Then dropped it onto the concrete floor in the shed smashing the plastic cap and leaving a trail of gloss clear across the floor.
There remains enough left in the bottom to do what I want but I still need a new jar.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Was that Aussie postie's fault ; packaging by the seller's fault or a combination of both ?

By the way. Is Aussie Post still by Royal appointment (indeed was it ever ?)
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Monday: Frog "Spin-A-Prop" boxing 1/72 Bristol Beaufort (lovely little kit that DESPERATELY needs new nacelles)

Yesterday: Novo 1/72 Vickers Vimy.

Both of these will be done as modern examples - the Beau as a restoration in Oz I've contributed to on Kickstarter, the Vimy as the 1994 replica.

Australia Post have no fragile goods service.  You pack it properly or it gets broken.  It was my fault.  I had unpacked everything and when carrying it into the shed the jar rolled out of the box.

As far as I know my erstwhile employers are not by royal appointment.

Ah. I'd always just assumed they were The Royal Mail as over here . Show's you never just assume

From a trader from Kharkiv in the Ukraine via Ebay.
A Model 1/72nd Piaggio P180 Avanti.

There was no prises for guessing where the traders loyalties are (at least publicly). The box was sealed with tape in the Ukraine national colors.
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Size (of the stash) matters.

Revell 1/72 DHC-6 Twin Otter.  Let one go to someone here a few years back and I've missed her, so had to pick up the latest boxing.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

A Model 1/72nd Piaggio P180 Avanti.
Showed my other half some photos of it after seeing (and being impressed by) sprue shots. Going by her facial reaction I think if I bought one I'd be sleeping in the garage as well as building out there!

Hm, I've always thought the Avanti to be one of the smarter looking aircraft in the air, but I suppose there's no accounting for taste, especially in the female mind.

Popped into a LHS on the way home (always fraught with danger but I resisted the temptation to buy more kits - they have no 1/72 Harriers but I am being tempted by a Mig 37) and got ANOTHER jar of gloss clear acrylic.
This one made it into the shed and into the drawer without incident.

Finally got hold of a Monogram 1/72nd Tigercat (paid £16 inc postage but it also included a Matchbox A-7D Corsair II and an Artiplast 1/48th Fiat C.R.32) via ebay.
Need the Tigercat for a project that involves bashing it together with an F4U Corsair and a Lightning of the English Electric variety.

The A-7D is for nostalgia value as it's the same boxing that I made many years ago on my Aunty Sheila's kitchen table in the 1970's!

The C.R.32 may be real world (love the engine cowling shape) but it may just stay in the stash as it's the only Artiplast kit I've ever seen and is in very good condition.

On the bench.
1/72 Space 1999 Eagle, Comet Miniatures Martian War Machine
1/72nd Quad Tilt Rotor, 1/144th V/STOL E2 Hawkeye (stalled)

Radish

3 x 1/72nd MiG-21bis by Zvezda.
Already got one "in build" as an RAF example. :banghead:

Got hands on (another) Matchbox Tempest, and a Hasegawa T4 trainer - both pretty cheap.

Agree with you there Kit, got to stick my head in the door of this one a few years ago.

BTW, I asked CanMilAir if he could do me some decals of it, so guess what

That must have been a bitch doing the decals for that mega-curvy shape!  :o

Looks very good nonetheless.
