You stick in a bid at the opening amount because it's cheap and no-one else appears to have bid and then you forget about it until you get the e-mail telling you you've "won".

Happens all the time ;D

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Placing a bid out of impulse, regretting it, and noone else wanted it... was/remained cheap, though, and it might end up as a vaguely planned de-VTOL-ized Harrier derivative.

Spey_Phantom

just ordered some new stash additions online from the usual place

-Airfix 1/144 Vickers Vanguard
-Academy 1/144 MIG-29A
-Italeri 1/72 AB412 Carabineiri
-Trumpeter 1/144 F-16B/D Fighting Falcon
-Revell 1/72 Agusta A109K2
-Revell 1/144 Rafale-M
-Revell 1/144 MIG-29A "The Swifts"
-Revell 1/142 Fishing Trawler
-Revell 1/144 MIG-25 Foxbat

i was planning on ordering the 1/72 Su-27SM, but seemed a bit pricey at 25 euro's (can get the trumpeter version cheaper localy).
could get it cheaper in local stores once the kit is in full circulation.
on the bench:

-all kinds of things.

Airfix 1/72 Bloodhound, Landie, launcher & trailer waiting for me at the post office.  This was an accidental evil-bay win.

Or someone sticks 50p at the last minute. I hope whoever enjoys their 1/72 Formaplane BAe Nimrod MR.1 and Historic Wings resin conversion MR. 2P. :banghead:

Given the way Evil-Bay works they might have stuck in $1000 at the last minute.  It just looks like they only stuck in the minimum because the winner only pays one increment more than the second highest bid.  That's one of the ways they get you hooked.
It still sucks though.

1964 Buick Riviera built promo from an old collection via eBay.

Poorly sprayed black and the worst case of vinyl tire 'melt' I've ever seen.   :-\
The wheel inners were unpainted so they are half gone and the melted plastic
has actually run down and coated the tires.

But none of that matters as it was purchased for the body and will be crossed with
the AMT '65 Riviera, and other parts, to replicate what I wanted to do with my '64.
Alas I had neither the time nor the money so the car was sold on after the engine
went TU.  :banghead:

I don't usually mention my purchases but today I bought a 1/72nd Revell Arado AR. (E) 555 for the stash.

I have come to the realisation that, whether you be aircraft, armour or even ship whif modeller, if you don't have an Ar. 555 in the collection, you're just pretending!

Ideas are forming, which I'll have to write down, soon, in case ... because I'll forget before I get around to it. :banghead:

Had one of those, works well with a B-29.

1/72 Italeri C-130J  (not the stretch version)
1/72 Frog Avro Shackleton MR3 with spare parts

I did a test run with the engines from a MR3 on the wings of a C-130, but might end up on the MC-121A Constellation instead. Will fit the wings from the Neptune to the Shackleton and the vertical tail fin.

I take it that the Frog Shack was from ebay?  I was bidding on that too!
