Airfix Mig 21
Airfix Grumman Duck
Airfix Harrier GR-3

Best of luck with that one.  The whole front end is wrong being a distinct banana shape, the gull wing isn't pronounced enough, the area behind the cockpit is cut away under the canopy when the fuselage should continue (see the far superior Heller 16 and Airfix 22) and the wheels are crap.

Hmm.  Not as refined as the Revell kit but at least the whole pilot nacelle is the right shape and the jet is big enough.  The cockpit could do with some detail and the BMW 801 engine cowling is best replaced with a spare from the Italeri Ju 188.  Fit isn't too bad.

My acquisitions from Wor Show:

2 x Heller Spitfire XVIe
1 Aeroclub Spitfire FRXVIIIe fuselage conversion
1 Frogspawn BAC Canberra B(I)8
1 Ventura Spitfire IXc

From Chris Payne:
Novo Supermarine Attacker

From Kitbasher
1 Academy Spitfire F.XIVc
2 Matchbox Tempests

From Narses
Many Spitfires and Seafires.  Don't want to list them...

Have you measured the engine's diameter? DB re-issued it later with the correct size engines, but if it IS the original one you could be on a winner!  ;D

I can see those small engines sinking into the silicone rubber already.

Plus the wings appear to be moulded with a sandpaper texture.
I didn't buy it to build a Spitfire (i'm not really sure why I bought it - I think I got a bit carried away) so it's prime whiff fodder then.
Hmmmm, if I don't use them to sand filler then maybe the wings can go onto the Duck fuselage?  A Grummamarine Duckfire...

NARSES2

Back from the Northern show and managed to squeeze a couple of kits in for myself. Bit of a struggle getting them home however as I did have a lot for others *

Anyway my haul

Airfix 1/72 DH.88 Comet for the Mil/Civil - Civil/Mil GB. Will be an RAF PR aircraft circa BoB period. Probably build her as a PR trainer rather then an operational type. Something for the pilots to cut their photographic teeth on.

KP 1/72 Mustang Mk III "Malcolm Hood". Got this on The Wooksta's recommendation and it is very nice

Mister Craft 1/72 PZL-37B Los II and PZL P7a (Polish boxing). These are repops and will need some cleaning up but they look nice in the box. Plus they were cheap - £2.95 and £5.95. The Los will probably be Bulgarian pre their entry into the war and the P7a probably Lithuanian/Latvian/Estonian ?

*

Now this is a serious point. I'm afraid I'm not in a position to bring loads of kits back from show purchases for others now lads. I will bring a max of 2 back but that's it. I had a lot of kits to bring back on Monday and perhaps people forget I travel by public transport. I spent 7 hours getting home yesterday by 4 trains, 1 bus and two long walks with a load of kits plus a very heavy luggage bag. I'd been away for 10 days and I'd also picked up some belated birthday gifts. On getting home I was absolutely "creamed", indeed I felt quite rough and I still do now.

I'm sorry about this but I really just can't do it anymore. Please don't feel offended if I've brought stuff back for you in the past as I've always been happy to but I'm afraid I just can't do it physically anymore.

Apologies

Chris

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
