Thanks Dizz.  It's not as cheap as the Su-22 was so I may give it a miss if it's that bad.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

From The Wooksta!: 2 x Revell Tempest Vs and a Revell F4U Corsair (both 1/72 and thanks Lee - 2 Tempests was a surprise!  Whiffery planned.

Sorry about the Corsair being sans a tailplane - she came that way.  I added a spare engine from a Hobbyboss kit and some spares lying about.  The second tempest I thought was a nice surprise.

Yes I recognised the Hobbyboss part - the resin items look like Bristol Hercules for a Superfreighter or similar?  If so they could come in handy for some post-WW2 CASAfication of something German.

Tailplane can be rectified, not  problem.

Bristol Centaurus - Brigand and Buckingham.

Ooh - better still and I think better suits the re-engining plan I had in mind for something.  Thanks again, Lee.

And today I acquired an ESCI F-16B
What If? & Secret Project SIG member.

PR19_Kit

Also from the Coventry show, a 1/72 Revell NATO weapons kit, the one with the free Typhoon supplied as well.  ;D

This is for a Whiff that appeared in my head during the show and was discussed amongst the favoured few there. I've got 4 years to build it so time could be a bit tight, and no, it WON'T have longer wings!

Also 5 lengths of Plastruct H section girders for a model railway project.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

I am now the proud (unofficial, until 8th July) owner of 1 x Gallery Models/MPC USS Intrepid CV-11 Angled-Deck Carrier.

SWMBO chipped in for my birthday & I had more cash in my coin jar than I realised.

So, my little 1/350th fleet now consists of;

1 x "Essex" class angled-deck aircraft carrier
1 x "Hipper" class heavy cruiser
1 x "Arleigh Bourke" class destroyer

The "Arleigh Bourke" is out of place, what I really need is a 1/350th "Daring" class destroyer, like this;

NARSES2

Just picked up some scalpel blades and handles and some sanding material. I was only keeping an eye open for a couple of things at a sensible price but didn't spot them.

Talking of sensible prices. Mr Models was selling older tooling 1/72 Hasegawa kits for a sensible price - £5.95 to £7.95. Now at this price they are good value, indeed I've just built the Polikarpov I-16 from this era. However at the complete opposite end of the spectrum one trader had some of the recently reissued Hasegawa twin boxing's at £27.95 - £29.95  :banghead: Now I'm not blaming the trader as this is the standard price but one of these was the old tool He 51 which must be 40 years old and doesn't even come with a cockpit. Now it's not a bad kit but almost £14 ??? Must admit I do not understand this pricing, but someone must be buying them otherwise they wouldn't sell ? Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

From BNA Model World more Tamiya Polyester Putty and some PE saw blades that fit into an exact knife handle - very good.  Prone to bending but if you are gentle you can make a 0.1mm wide cut.
