Ram Model 1/72 British Phantoms F-4K/F-4M - The Prototypes, development aircraft and training flight

Excellent new sheet from Ram that replaces the markings for the Early British Phantoms replacing those iffy ones in the Fujimi Yellow Bird Boxing plus the markings from the original Hasegawa kit. No stencils as yet but a sheet is in development for the Naval Phantoms . Additional sheets are expected that will cover 892 squadron and various RAF units  ;D

Please tell us more, and where did you get them from? Big H shows nothing in a search.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I wonder if those are resurrected Airways Vacuform kits, the variants shown in the list are exactly what you can build from them (looking at the kit I have anyway).  Might be worth keeping my eye on developments here, they're offering white metal u/c with these, which the Airways kits don't have.

Anyway, saved the link --- thanks Alastair for that

I could be mistaken but I think the gent in question has joined this forum recently.
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

From Ebay...

Will be pressed into service to keep those pesky Bears out of Irish airspace!

Cool idea.

Got myself a pair of 1:72 TOKO/Eastern Express P-63s. I saw pics of the kit's sprues, and these do not look as horrible as often described, I hope for the best. I already envision one in Middle American use... Honduras operated five of them in real life, so why not someone else? My bet is currently on Guatemala.  ;D

I didn't know Revell did one ? I think A Model did a family of them which got very good reviews but they were quite expensive for 1/144 (or I thought so anyway). Wonder if it's a rebox of one of those ?
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

i opened the box, the revell kit (from the 1980's) is the same mould as the Minicraft kit, i guess they must have sold the moulds to Minicraft.

That Revell-Minicraft 1/144 Lanc is from the original Crown moulds.

It's not too bad, but it's easily recognisable as the angle of the windscreen is way too much. It'd suit a Mach 2 fighter better than a WWII bomber.  ;D

Airfix 1/72 Lockheed Constellation Super-G
Academy 1/72 KC-97G refueling tanker with boom

Will test if the Rotodome from the 1/72 Heller Grumman E-2C Hawkeye fits on the upper fuselage of the KC-97G. If not a bomber/attack version could be built with the spare parts.

Thinking of a tanker version of the Connie or Super Star layout.
