Except that I was thinking of something else entirely that wasn't a MiG.  They're not my speciality as I have very little interest in Russian aircraft.  Except for the Blackjack and the VC10/Corcorde analogues.

Not sure if its the F-13 version but Hasegawa also did what looked like an F model Fishbed. One of the options was the Iraqi one that defected to Israel.

Arn't the Hasegawa one and the Academy one the same mould, and therefore just as bad as each other? (i.e. generally oversize except for being about two scale feet too short)

Actually it's the Hasegawa one which is their own but reboxed by Minicraft (which was associated with Academy for a while) That's according to the Big Book.
If I'm not building models, I'm out riding my dirtbike

Was up in Toronto/ Hamilton area all weekend so I stopped in at Hobby and Toy Central on Appleby and grabbed myself the old monogram 72nd scale Albatross.

More likely a clone of the Hasegawa kit - the Academy kit has recessed panel lines whereas they're raised on the Hasegawa.  I had both for a time some years back.  IIRC I still have the Academy wings which *might* end up on a two seat Jag as a TSR2 trainer - they have the right 60 degree sweep.

It's horrible... as well as the Hasegawa offering, at least the original one. Not certain if there have been updates to the mould, but to me the thing is/was pretty disappointing.

BTW, won a Matchbox Heyford on ebay for EUR 9,99,-.

Old it may be, and COVERED in rivets too, but it's a terrific kit and surprisingly large too. I've built three of them in my time and enjoyed every one. Nice one.

I have Airfix & KP 1/72 Mig 21s.  Not built either yet.  Both are what you'd expect and quite suitable for my purposes.

Today I received one of these from Evil-Bay (easier to post a pic than to explain  what it is).

OK, strictly speaking I received 2 as there is a pair of them in the box. One will probably end up with a Bofors mounted on the back.

I also received more Light Gull Grey acrylic so I can get on with painting the FW189 Tilt Fan.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Two airfix swifts from halifax modlers world via ebay. One more on the way from the same sourse and another three coming direct from airfix.

Isn't that a bit excessive?

Says the man with a Spitfire stash in the hundreds......

I have plans for em ;) ;)

The three swifts mentioned above coming direct from airfix arrived this afternoon

I should have one eventually, but since I want to do terrible things to it, I've ordered it on the Flying Hours scheme, so it's anyone's guess when I'll actually get it.
