Xtradecal He111P sheet for when the Airfix kit comes out. Got it because they have an early war scheme with the 3 upper colours rather then the standard 2 greens. I'm building her real world, when I get her, but it will look a little different in this scheme.

Sheets got some nice personal markings which will be useful for other projects

Modeling isn't just about how good the gluing or painting, etc. looks. It's also about how creative and imaginative you can be with a subject.
My modeling philosophy is: Don't build what everyone else has done. Build instead what nobody has seen or done before.

Last week's deliveries, as usual, all 1/72 kits and bits....
Starting with a Heller Saab J-35 bought through ebay from someone whom i believe to be the fellow forum user and whif modeler 63cpe. I did find the nickname was familiar on the bay...
From Canada, 2 sets of resin JHMCS by Modern Hobbies directly from their site, excellent detail on these helmets.
From Portuguese shop, Bigcat modelismo: Academy A-10 Iraqui Freedom, Revell F-16MLU "solo display", airfield, runway and deck section display bases and also, another Hobbyboss F-5E TigerII.
From Yourmate UK and US in South Korea, Tamiya Mirage 2000C and the Italeri F-5E TigerII.
To close the week, received one of my all time favorites... The beautiful Tamiya F4D Skyray!  :drink: Straight from the UK from Models4hobby shop.
With these, i managed to fill the rest of my stash storage space... I already have a few boxes crowding the work bench... and there are 7 more kits on their way... it means, stop buying and start building!! ;D

Howard of Effingham

from the usual goodness that is the IPMS Avon show at thornbury yesterday :)

1/72 Maintrack F-107 vacform [so I can do a two seater F-107 using the trumpeter IM kit of same]
1/72 airfix F-86D
1/72 airfix Fairey Firefly [so I can use all of the Firefly aftermarket stuff I have; needing three to do this triplet of models this one was the 3rd]

some old Gloy and Humbrol authentics paints [at 50p per pot and several shades I hadn't got RAF NIVO and US pre-war grey being two]

modeldecal sheet #11 [gonna use the RCAF Sabre markings it has on the above F-86D kit  ;D ]

I was however pipped at the post by here's very own Andrew J over a Maintrack P1121 vacform!  ;) i'm just left wondering what he a 1/48 wiffer will be doing
with 1/72 vacform.

as usual the Avon crowd put on a good show.

Well as it is Andrew I would suspect to use as a reference for doing a 1/48th version, although if doing one he should await on Overscan's P1121 book du out in November by Blue Envoy press

Got an Eduard L-39 Albatros - inspired by recent profiles (by Darkfold) I think that it might end up in German Marineflieger or Luftwaffe colors (wrap-around scheme), as a target tug with some dayglo extra markings.

After the GDR's demise Western Germany actually "inherited" some NVA-LSK L-39's (and these AFAIK received Luftwaffe registrations, 28+XX), but none were operated. But this can easily be changed... ;)

Thorvic

You could reverse that logic and do an East German Alpha Jet  ;D

Then I'd rather put it under Soviet Republic of Finland's flag. ;)

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.
