Doing it Lee's way means you can assemble the assemble and even paint the wings and fuselage separately and attach them when your ready as the wing will slide onto the remaining wing spars between the fuselage and engine. Otherwise you end up assembling each wing whilst attached to the fuselage which can be somewhat cumbersome when handling the model.

The design concept is quite clever for the end result but the designers are still getting used to the practicalities of model making, which is why some of their new kits whilst looking accurate & fantastic can be rather tricky to assemble

Two vintage kits: a 1st generation Heller SEPECAT Jaguar (because of its optional cockpit sections... you have to know your drugs!) and a FROG Spitfire Mk. 14, the set with the V1 included.

A really awkward fit unless you have four hands.  Plus it's much easier to work on smaller components.  Trust me, I've two stalled Lancs done the Airfix way...

My late mate Rob had a bright yellow JZR kit car* called Buttercup, which featured a Lancaster bomber flap selector as the headlight switch. You'd have got on with him, Terry.... ;)

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

"Accidently" won a Matchbox (ex PM Model) Horten IX/Go 229 on ebay for less than EUR 3,-.
Unexpected, and I am rather after the wings as donation parts than the aircraft itself.
