An old KP Yak-23. Had the weird idea of grafting the nose onto a late Spitfire, as a kind of Yak-15 solution for the late WWII RAF (but with a centrifugal jet engine).

Yeah, that'd work.  But how about grafting it onto a Typhoon as it already has a similar shape in the radiator inlet which would help to confuse people.

Nah, rather a sleek fighter airframe, and I think a Spitfire with bubble canopy would work quite well. There's also enough space between the landing gear wells, a Typhoon or Tempest would require more work - and I'd assume that a single jet would look slightly diminutive on the much bigger overall airframe? So far it's just a vague idea.

Relatively to the aircraft. On a spitfire it might look clumsy, but IMHO a Tempest or Tiffy would be too large.

From the big H via the man in the red van.

1/72 Eduard mask set for the Airfix Vampire T11. (Telford here I come)
1/144 Mark 1 Swiss Air Force Insignia
1/144 Mark 1 Israeli Air Force insignia (I have a cunning plan for some of these)
1/144 AFV Club Curtis P-40B/C, Hawk 71 A 2. Markings for Charles Holders aircraft of the 3rd Sqdn. AVG, "Hells Angels" at Kunming, early 1942, but lacks the five kill markings his plane carried at that time.
Detail is good on the outside, there is nothing on the inside. It looks very similar in style to the recent Zevezda 1/144 scale aircraft which are aimed at both modellers and wargamers.

Trying to find them is the problem, they're always the poor relation compared to the diabolical milk choc versions.  :banghead:

Bounties are awful.  Fry's strawbery Ruffles are far superior.

Anyhoo, the postman should be delivering a large parcel containing an Airfix Shackleton to me Mam's any day now.

Don't you mean Pink that tastes of Pink. (Where is the throwing up icon when you need it?)

I think that Kit would agree with me "Lesser options are available"

I'm up in Carlisle helping mum tidy up after dad died in March.......I've found a shop with lots of PLAIN Bountys........ does taking a dozen back to Herefordshire   for Madame R and I count as "My stash just grew again (2015)"?

You know Rheged, that begs the question.

Does Mrs. Rheged know what is in your stash?

I suspect not, therefore this addition does not really count as an addition to the stash as the stash is a secret, unknown, entity that SWMBO does not know what its inner contents are.

Never mind a dozen, how about a dozen BOXES of them? And then I'll take some off your hands for a suitable remuneration!
