Two Modelcraft 1/72 Sea Vixens - no boxes but with good-condition decals - arrived from the US via eBay today. They were cheaper than a single boxed one from Novo or anyone else! Both will be whiffed, one sooner than the other...

EDIT: Okay, so it turns out it's one Modelcraft kit with two sets of decals and a Russian one (Eastern Express? The instructions are in Cyrillic and I don't recognise the logo) with decals. So I have three lots of Sea Vixen decals!!

Basically the same tooling, and handy whiff fodder. if you want a decent Sea Vixen then the CyberHobby ones are pretty decent if you replace the ejector seats with correctly sized ones and the nose cone with a pointy one as its a bit blunt, but both of these add-ons are inexpensive from Pavla. The High Planes Sea Vixen is also accurate but its also one of their original limited edition kits and will need plenty of TLC to build it.

I got a Modelcraft from a forum member yeeeeears ago and did it as a Kiwi land-based one. Handy whif fodder is exactly what I was after. The second one looks to be from Donetsk based on the writing (I know some of the alphabet and seem to remember Donetsk Toy Factory being a Frogspawn factory?). I know there are better ones out there, but these won't be Sea Vixens!

Thanks for the recommendations - I do love the Sea Vixen and must build a good RW one.

I have no doubt at all that Wooksta (and probably several others)  will supply suggestions!

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
