Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Who's a lucky chap, then?  I'm really green with envy.

Thanks folks.
The important thing here is that now I have space back in the shed I will finally have room to fix my motorcycle.

My uncle has been fixing his for nearly 20 years.  ;D

Sometimes you need to pace yourself.
I've had my Triumph since 1994 when it was 1 year old and it was running up to 3 or 4 years ago when the fuel leak got to the point where I was getting wet boots when I rode it.  It's my fault.  I thought I knew better and tried to run Flossy on 10% Ethanol.
She ran fine but the alcohol in the petrol chewed out some gaskets in the carbies and they started to leak.
I ignored this as it wasn't too bad (fuel tap is vacuum operated and shuts off when the engine stops so no possibility of returning to her to find a puddle) and hoped it would go away.
Unfortunately it didn't.
All I need to do is strip the carbies to see which gaskets are gone.  Problem is to get them off I have to remove all but one mounting bolt and drop the engine and to do that I have to remove the exhaust.
Nothing i've not done before but it needs time and space.

Definitely! Well, now you have space. It'll be good to get the hair in your wind again.  ;)

Man, that ethanol crap. E10. I warn people away from that junk every chance I get. I think some of the more modern vehicle engines can tolerate it but I wouldn't put that stuff in anything. Mechanic and repairmans best friend, that stuff.

I mean, I'm looking forward to full on ethanol fuel and growing fuel in a field is appealing but we have to have the matching tech to go with it. Fuel that destroys what it's put in isn't saving any rainforests.

E10 is cheaper.  I always put it in hire cars.

So, with the Harrier B and the BA3 done and the Snapper close its that time when I start getting itchy about dragging something else out of the stash.
So i've started on a Hasegawa Mirage F1C which i'm giving to the RAAF.  I'll be using a RW Mirage III scheme.
However, with the Supermassive Shed Dresser complete I can contemplate working on one of the kits from the "big stuff" section of the stash.  I've had the Boxcar the longest.  Maybe it's time to finally get on with the Mystery Inc air wing idea?

Hell yeah!!!! Do that!  Definitely do that.  And what better way to christen the new found gloriousness of the work space than with something substantial?

A tiny bit of work today on the Mirage and lots on the Mitsubishi Evo VII "Zero" (it's a car - see below).  Having previously sprayed the body with silver car paint, cleared it, hairsprayed it, sprayed it IJN topside green and then attacked it with an old toothbrush I have embarked on hand painting hinomarus and an identification stripe across the distressed paint.  I have found that this is better than masking and painting them before the toothbrush stage as if I do that then the extra thickness of paint affects how it all scrubs off.
I have also primed the chassis and the interior black.  The interior is going to be a simple all black affair.  Different shades of black though will be used for seats, dash, floor and door panels so as to give a bit of contrast.
This is the kit I am using.  I won at a show.  Its not one I would choose and it has proven impossible to get rid of so why not build it?

Sounds pretty cool.  Can't wait to see it!

I bet there is some car club kid in Tokyo somewhere with one painted like that. Kind of makes sense. I've seen pictures of plenty of American cars painted up like a Mustang or whatever and cars with shark mouths and stuff. There's even a couple here in Lawton I keep meaning to take pictures of but I always become super lazy when I'm at work when non-work things are involved....

Lastly, I'm probably going to be making my own car kit for the first time in eons. Maybe ever? I remember working on auto kits as a kids and know I built a Ford truck but I can't recall if I made cars or not. Anyway...  Not sure it's possible to fit them, but I have some NASCAR decals that I want to put on a Ferrari I think it is?  Ferrari fans will be wanting to put me up in front of firing squad!  ;D ;D ;D       Racing GB!

Yertiz.  Nissan not a Mitsu though.

While researching C-119s I came across this pic Brad C which made the think of you.  Can you see why?   ;D

Can't wait for the Racing GB.  I'm hoping we get more of the usual "wing thing" builders knocking together car models.
