I hate Cold Play.  We'll have no talk of them on my blog thread.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Transfers on the Boxcar are completed.
Those walkways were a pain to get aligned, and most of them broke, but not too badly - they didn't shatter, just tended to snap on the corners when I slid them off the backing.  More due to the hamfisted applicator than poor quality though.

I'll make a note of that, sorry. [Oops emoticon here]

I think they're great though.  ;)

The 119's REALLY coming together nicely.

It's groovy isn't it?
I cleared over the transfers this evening.  For once I remembered to wash it before I did so.
Just the undercarriage, wheels and props to paint now.
Oh, and the Mercedes, and scratch up a ramp (which I can't do until she's up on her wheels).
I have a vague idea about making a small dio-base for this.  A section of crumbling runway edged with spooky cartoon pine trees within which lurk bad things.  I even have white metal mummy and werewolf (from elheim figures) which I bought a few years ago with this in mind.

I got the Seafire cockpit bulkheads to fit.  They are not attached yet as I have to paint them and the inside of the fuselage.  I did get the fuselage seam filling started though.  Another round of PSR is needed.  If I fit the control panel bulkhead where it looks like it is supposed to go (ie in a slot inside the fuselage) there is a gap between the bulkhead (in front of the gunsight) and the front of the fuselage cutout.  I can't find a really clear picture but I don't think this is prototypically correct and I will cut a small piece of plastic to fill it.

As today is Star Wars day I took a Bandai B Wing out of its hiding place, looked at it and then pout it back.
Also because it is May fourth I wore to work today a 2" tall Darth Vader figure on a lanyard.  Either no-one noticed or they were being polite but only one of my colleagues said anything and she professes to have no interest in Star Wars.
Mrs z is working from home and so could wear her Chewbacca tee shirt.

I got to "Chewbacca" & was expecting the next word to be "onesie" ... Luckily it wasn't. ;)

I spent an hour before work this morning painting the Boxcar's props.  They have a complex black pattern over aluminium.  The pattern is marked on them with raised lines which made painting easier.  Still fiddly though.  Lucky my steady hands mojo was with me today.  It's not always.

Satyrday lunchtime.  Came indoors for a cup of tea, a muesli bar and to search out some decals.
This morning I built this...

...it's part of a loooooooong term build.  The grey curved part on top has been at least 3 years in the making.  Maybe five.

Think smaller Kit.

It's inspired by a Judge Dredd storyline in 2000AD.
