Like that Fred, that is a  nifty build and I do really like the shape of it

Old Wombat

I've liked the look of the Cosmo Falcon since I first saw it & this one looks excellent, Fred!

Though I wonder what went wrong with the stickers/transfers/decals, as you have the Roos correctly RW-aligned.

Looks a lovely surface finish

It is a pleasing shape isn't it.  I also have the kit of the Type Zero which was the other single seat craft in the anime.

No point in putting them upside down or backwards because in space no-one can hear JMNs.   ;)

My normal acrylic gloss clear (DIY warehouse large rattle can).  Possibly applied with more care than usual.  It got a second coat over the decals today.

;D  ;D
And they do burst in a satisfying manner...

Nice job!

Cosmo Falcon is finished.  But...

...i'm not happy with the pictures.  White under bright LEDs is tricky to photograph.  I need to try again under different lighting...

...after i've fixed the damage caused when it fell off the bench (I blame that tall stand).   :banghead:

Cosmo Falcon - 23 by Fred Maillardet, on Flickr

It landed on the chin probes, snapping them both, and dislodged one of the nose lights.  The spiders must have moved pretty quickly as I only found one piece of one probe (still missing the tip).

Repairs have started with the missing lens replaced with a blob of PVA moulded to shape.
I'm not replacing the missing tips - the probes will become blasters.  I've cut both probes down to the same length, drilled holes in the ends, and reattached the broken piece.

That looks fantastic, Fred!

And "Bugger!" :-\

Still, I'm sure you can get it looking just as good, again!

Sucks that it happened but, look at it on the bright side, you had to get new pics anyway and it got a weapons upgrade in the depot... ;)

Did some rearranging of storage today (moving airbrush paints up to a shelf where I could see them without kneeling on concrete).  In the process I consolidated my General Lee stash into one cupboard.

Chargers. by Fred Maillardet, on Flickr

The plan is to use one of the Revell '68 bodies with the grille and tail-light panel from the Revell ProModeller '69 and the wheels, transfers and nudge bar (unless I scratchbuild one - a fairly simple task) from the MPC General Lee.
The General was not a Hemi car (most jump cars had IIRC a Poly 318 or 360 with the close up car having a 440 Magnum) but it is tempting to drop one in.
The ProModeller '69 and the  2in1 '68 both offer the option of a Hemi or a 440.  The other Revell '68 and both the MPC '69s have Hemis.

I don't need any more Chargers...

...although a '70 would be nice for completeness.

FIVE of them!  :o  :o  :o  :o

Green with envy mode full on here!

I've only got one, the Monogram boxed Pro Modeller version, but it is my absolute fave American car.

Why's "Daisy"    not on the box ?

Daisy was on the box of Daisy's Road Runner...

...and on the box of Daisy's Jeep, Dixie...

...and on the box of Cooter's Towtruck...

Yeah, but was she ever modelled in 1/24?

And it not, WHY not?
