How about that, they really did an in-line A5M.  Shows how much research I do.  :o

Only built 2, but has me thinking of an in-line Zero to go with my production version.

There appears to be someone sitting in the cockpit of the twin engined plane in the upper left quadrant of the boneyard pic.

I think there's a guy sitting in the cockpit plus another standing on the wing looking in ? I am very short sighted however so don't take my word for it  :banghead: They would appear to be in USN shirts and strides ?
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Yep, one US guy in the cockpit, the other on the wing of the Yokosuka P1Y Ginga.

Nice looking plane.

Got some colour on the topside of the Yak today.  And a different one on the underside of the Lightning.

Here's a pic of the Me 109.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

It is, as a lot of the Japanese twins were.

In the antiques trade that'd be called 'distressed'!  :o

How EVER did you do that Fred, it looks amazing?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I am pleased with it.
How?  See reply #1407 on the previous page.
But basically car paint, hairspray, acrylics, water, an old toothbrush and then more acrylic paint, a very fine brush and a steady hand.

Ah yes, my addled brain has connected the two posts now, thanks.

Very clever indeed, and it works a treat.

Before my local junk shop went all poncy and styled it'self as an Antiques Emporium (the only difference is that prices increased by 1000% minimum) that would have been in the "bargain bucket"  ;)

It is great work and after reading how it was done I may well try the techique on a real world project I have in mind. It's IJAAF, late War so needs some distressing.

Finished the Chevy Caprice today.  Beauty pics tomorrow.

3rd camo colour on the Yak.

Elsewhere Brad C mentions graffiti paint jobs.

I did this as a paint experiment and to use up the dregs of a heap of rattle cans.

Yaketty Yak now has one coat of each colour on it.

In the background you can see the underside of what will be a JASDF Lightning.

Yak looks purdy!

If the wheels were missing I'd suggest someone had left the car alone in Davoren Park or Andrews Farm for a few minutes! ;D
