I did convert it to RHD though.  Of course it was LHD.  All AMT kits are  .  Even those of British cars like Tigers and Cobras.  But you should hear the whinging from some US car modellers if a Japanese kit only has a RHD dash in it.  But I digress.
It's relatively easy to swap these as the bit with all the instruments is a separate piece so I just had to trim it slightly, glue it on the other side, swap the pedals over and then fill all the gaps with filler.  And PSR it until it looked nice.

Which is something I'll be doing to quite a number of vehicle kits over the next few years.

Grach looks attractive

Does, doesn't it!

Thanks guys.  Glad you like it.
I've been experimenting painting it with very thin paint, building up layers to full opacity.  This seems to be working OK giving a smooth finish free of brush strokes.  Takes a while though.  The "sand" needs one more layer and the camo is done.
I should prolly start putting a weapons load together, it's going to need a fair few items built.

Finished cutting bits off the Crusaders wings today, cleaned up the cut edges on the wings, lost a slat, searched through the box I thought i'd put it in and on the floor and then found it hiding under a sanding stick.
I then made a template (jig?), stuck it to the wings with blue tac and glued one slat back on at an angle.

If I understand you correctly then I would call that a jig, but I stand to be corrected by the engineers amongst us.

Sounds like a jig to me too.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

OK, Jig it is.  Here is a photo (nicely focussed on the MEL engine in the background).  :banghead:

Since then I have attached the slats on the other wing and one flap.

Finished the camo paint on the Grach today and the main colours on the Spitfire.  Also tidied up and primed the Edsel's rear wheel skirts, dirtied up the bottom of Apocalypse Post and started decaling the Itasha Toyota.

I'm glad your bench is about as untidy as mine.....makes me feel far better and much less guilty  ;)

I feel even better in that case  ;D

That's tidier than usual.
Having tidied it up after xmas I am going through the usual post tidying phase of attempting to keep it neat.  This will last until sometime in March at which point the detritus will gradually build up until it reaches a stage where even I feel the urge to tidy.
Prolly some time in June.

Cleared the Grach today ready for decaling.
Also the Spitfire.
Flap/Slat count on the Crusader now stands at four slats and three flaps.  One flap to go.  I have also been working on the cockpit and the jet nozzle.
And I continued decaling the Itasha Toyota.  This is taking a while because there are decals upon decals upon decals upon double radius curves upon panel gaps upon windows.
This is what it currently looks like.  Most of the big decals are on but there is still some trimming to be done and some more smaller decals.

Ah similar to the way things work here, except I tend to start with a major tidy in March when Spring kicks in. So anytime now  ;)

Late to the automotive turbine subject, but here's a different take, the FIAT 8001.
I saw the car at EXPO'86 in Vancouver, unfortunately unbeknownst to me my camera
wasn't advancing the film correctly so the photos were all a loss.

Sat down at the Northwich Show today, right opposite Collectakit, and looking up, the first thing I saw was this:

Later in the day, I noticed it had migrated to behind our local group of tables... :o  I was worried for a bit in case some well-meaning fool was going to sign their own death warrant by suggesting that I should build it, but it turned out that it had been bought for his own consumption by a guy called Nick from Merseyside IPMS. We got talking, and he may yet show up here to partake in the relevant discussions.

Jon - Rear engined turbine car makes sense because you can route the exhaust straight out the back.  Great for preventing tailgaters.  Thanks for that.  Shame about the photos - the fact you still remember suggests you were not happy.

H - It'd make a great whiff.  Scaleorama it into 1/72 and then go crazy.  Helipad or catapult on the stern for a start.
I'm intrigued by the Airfix footballers.  Anyone tried whiffing them?  What scale?

Today I finished decalling the Toyota, and decalled the Grach and the Spitfire.  I did take some pics but my phone has stopped talking to my toplap.
The Crusader now has the full complement of slats & flaps and I went through the Grach box and assembled 2 large tanks, 2 large missiles and 6 rocket pods.

Finally I dug out a couple of kits to investigate an idea I had for a spy plane.  Unfortunately it wouldn't be as easy as I hoped because Skyvan wings have significantly less chord than those of a Bronco.
