I'm crap at being in charge - no one ever does what I tell them. 

After many years I found the best method was to make one's subordinates think that they are the ones making the decisions. Mind you it's also far, far easier to be in charge when you have chosen your own crew rather than are trying to manage an inherited one, ask me how I know ?

Some of us know only too well!!  Been there, done that, got the mental scars!!...................but when you do get a good team together the show almost runs itself.

Absolutely. When you get a good team, pulling together work can become a pleasure.

Been fiddling with an Airfix new mould Beaufighter.
I have these resin 2500hp Double Wasps (intended for a B-26K) I bought on a whim a while ago.
I'm thinking Central America.

Small amounts of progress on a number of builds today.

Having acquired a Hobby Boss Mi-8 I have been researching schemes for it.  Obviously, given their wonderfull Mi-24 paint jobs the first user I thought of was Peru.




The third one might form the basis of the standard PDRV Police scheme to be applied to a number of the fleet of as yet unbuilt rotorcraft* in my stash.

*and airliner.  I may have just found the scheme i've been looking for to put on my 1/72 YS-11

Still quite a liberal approach though  Mind you I suppose if you then shut the media outlet that reported it down as well then it's not quite so and almost self regulating ? Clever

Another one of those "fiddling with lots of small things rather than making a few big steps" sessions today.

I put the KV1 tracks together over the weekend.  First time i've built a kit with link and length tracks.  A lot easier than individual links.  Hobby Boss supply a pair of jigs.  Each side is now in 4 pieces and is in the process of being painted and got some matt black undercoat today.

Interior parts of the Double Wasp Beaufighter got some primer.

Edsel got its flame decals over the weekend and I slit these along the door openings and applied Micro Sol to get them to conform.
