She thinks she now has the cold I had and so has taken time off.
She had a flu jab this year so should be less susceptible.
Her medication includes binge watching The Good Wife from the beginning.

I found this pic today.  It's the oldest surviving CAC Wirraway which is at the Moorabin Aircraft Museum.  I like the way the paint looks like a badly finished model.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I've always said that you can't get rid of a cold until you find someone to give it to. The bug/virus has to go somewhere else surely

I don't know. He/she's made a very good job of the yellow cowl. Obviously read on here that you are better off priming in pink  ;)
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I'm a very generous person, I do like to share...

They are nice aren't they.

Boomerang is slowly crawling to a finish.  Some fiddley bits to finish painting but it shouldn't be too long.

Dizzy's 1/43 Kombi got me thinking of this.
I built it about five or so years ago for a friend who has since been taken by cancer.
Rob was completely obsessed with the Zodiac Killer (to the extent of building a model of the VW Karmann Ghia the killer left a message on) and vans.
I miss him every time I finish a build and no-one takes the p*ss.

It's the Hasegawa 1/24 kerbside kit.  It went together real easy and was a doddle to lower.  I'd like to build more but they are not cheap.

 Nice Type 2.

On a pedantic note, the single engine cabin monoplanes were all
referred to as Gulls, including the Vega Gull.

This is a Vega.   ;)

zenrat

So Jon, in relation to the Percivals,  where did the "Vega" come into it?

Nice paint job on that Lockheed.  Particularly the claws.  That'd take a bit of decal solvent.

Boomerang edges closer to completion.  Prop needs clearing and then I can assemble all the fiddley bits onto the rest.

I'm just going to put this picture here so I can stare at it for a while,

It was the full name, however wiht the exception of the Mew Gull, they
were commonly referred to simply as Gulls.

The late lamented Red Pegasus Decals did decals for one of the Stanavo Eagle schemes:

I bet that took some time and patience

That's gorgeous.

Boomerang finished now apart from an aerial wire and some exhaust smuts.

I also finished building the storage part of the mega shed storage/display unit and then spent a happy hour or so rearranging the stash and moving some of it into new cupboards and drawers.  I like to store my stash on a distributed basis working on the theory that potential for spousal displeasure is reduced if only a portion can be revealed at any one time.
Next stage is the display cases that make up the back of the unit.  I need to buy some timber for this part (i've run out of usable leftovers) and some acrylic sheet to make the doors.

I knew a young lady who did the same with her shoes

No modelling today but I did spend all day in my shed.
I finished building my shed dresser and then re-arranged all my builds amongst the new display areas and started sorting out the pile of stuff that was taking the space where the dresser goes (some of which goes in/under the dresser and some of which goes to the tip).
Shed Dresser - Done by Fred Maillardet, on Flickr
It is mostly built from recycled and left over timber.  It has eight wheels, is wrong enough to stand on and weighs enough that it would kill you if it fell out of a tree on you.
The cupboard space goes all the way through, has doors on both sides and is already full of stash.
There are drawers on both sides.  The big drawer on this side is half full of bagged kits.
The large central display case is specifically designed to hold large builds flat against the back wall.  The completion of the dresser means I can now make a start on my Pe-8 or C-97 or B-36 or boxcar...
The left hand display case has a mirror on the back wall.  Mainly because it's been kicking around my shed since I removed it from our bathroom and I don't want to break it.
You can't see much of builds on the top shelves unless you are freakishly tall so I suspect that those builds I am less proud of will end up there.  The TSR2 based Myasishchev M-7 is up there because its tail is too tall for the other shelves (I could have adjusted the spacings so it could fit on a lower one but that would have meant removing all the builds I had just put on them).
The display case doors are sheets of acrylic held on with magnetic cupboard door catches.
