Nice work on the Rig and Dozer there.
The Comet is looking sharp; nice colours.

You know how sometimes you finish a model and put it away but leave something that really bugs you whenever you look at it?
The mirrors on Psychedelic Warlord (my Hawkwind tribute van - built after Huw Lloyd-Langton died) were a case in point.  I hated them and considered they spoilt the lines.  But they were glued on with epoxy.

Yesterday however I bit the bullet and removed them.  Luckilly I got them off without damaging the paint job too much.  What little damage I did do was just where I could glue on the new mirrors and so is hidden.

Much better.

Stunning mate

The middle picture could pass for real world if the background and base were edited

A lovely transplant job with the mirrors!  All in all, a very attractive vehicle that just needs a street scene photoshopped behind it to totally baffle the majority of punters.    I note that Javelin industries seem to go for personalised plates.

I masked and painted the second colour on the Comet today.
Very beautiful...
[the word "realistic" hurts my heart...]

That paint job is truly AWESOME!

Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Yaaaaaay!! Love to see the refurb, looks fantastic!!!!!    Definitely the right call on the mirrors.

Thanks folks.  All the black psychedelic squiggles are decals and there is a lot of masking and different colour candies on there.

This weekend I have mainly been putting photoetch chain stretchers together and begun painting them.  These are to chain the dozer to the Kraz trailer and it has tried my patience.

The van looks very good, love the colors. Great work as always, Fred!

Thanks DFZ.

Made a little bit of progress on the Cessna 172 today - inserted the painted interior into previously joined fuselage halves.
Started painting the Comet's crew.
Continued paining the chain stretchers for the Kraz.

Decaled the Comet (it needs a name - Sea Comet doesn't cut it IMO).
