Yes, I thought i'd slip in the 2nd Eagle.  Impulse purchase.  I've not built one before.  Thought i'd do it in the same scheme which is proving tricky given the distortion.
It's fun though.  I might get more of these.

The Armoured Car is ready to start getting it's Caunter Scheme in matching shades and design to this one.

Woah! Fred takes some time off cruising the outback and then gets right on into it as soon as he's back!

Impressive devotion to duty there.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Ah, the Hay Plain!  Such a wonderful piece of boring, flat landscape.   I used to cross it at 140 Km/h.  I was once passed by a cop car doing about 160 Km/h.  He didn't even glance at me.  He wanted to get across it as fast as I did.   Boring as all crap.    :banghead:

One can count the roadkill to stay awake.  Audiobooks also break the monotony.  We had Terry Pratchett's Monsterous Regiment playing.  I'd hate to do it on a motorcycle with no sounds to keep me paying attention.
I have speakers fitted into one of my crash helmets for just this reason but my days of long distances on two wheels are over.

Duty is stuff you don't want to do but feel obliged or obligated (is there a difference?).
This is pleasure and i'm still on leave until next Tuesday.

F.15 does look good and I'm looking forward to seeing the Rolls in the Caunter scheme

Very much so

I've currently 4 models in various stages of the production process and 2 are real world. I like to mix things and at the end of the day a good model is a good model  I'm talking about yours here, mine can sometimes reach "respectable" but that's about it  ;D

Shucks Chris, you're making me blush.

You never get to see them in the flesh.  I am a very carefull selector of photographs.

I discovered spoken word books back in the 1980s when I regularly drove from Canberra to Adelaide and back.  They saved my day.

At times it was a bit hard to hear the books in the van due to a combination of inadequate sound insulation and bad roads.

Today I started painting the Royce Armoured Car.  I hope I have correctly remembered the colours I used last time.
Last camo colour on the White Tailed Eggle.
Work on the canopy of the White Tailed Eagle.
Painted the decks of the Sea Witch.  I used Vallejo Wooden Deck Tan.  While it might be an accurate match (I wouldn't know) it doesn't look too much like wood to me.  I also attached some bits of chain with split pins which had to be done before the deck goes on.  I also need to sand and then stain &  varnish the lump of pine i'm using as a base.
Attached the "glass", seats, dash and steering wheel to the Fairlady and painted some more fiddly bits.
And some stuff to the Rotodyne and the Flying Dinghy.
