Lots done today but initially I broke everything I touched.  I put this down to my one pair of close up specs being in the shop for new lenses.

Ah, but there's a certain Lost World big-lizard charm to those garden sculptures.

They are animatronics which are there for a few month only.  Some are better animated than others and some appear to be not working.  The Brontosaurus (I grew up calling them that - I can't use the new name, sorry) was prolly the best animated with a moving head and neck.

I lost the whole morning today through fighting a horribly slow interweb connection and then having to delete and reinstall printers so I could print my shopping list from Ikea's website.  I have learnt from experience that if I don't do this before I go there I very quickly lose patience with their maze approach to store design and crack the sh*ts.  The shopping list tells me exactly where the things I want are located and enables me to go in the out door and short cut the whole process.

When I got home I fired up the compressor and put a light grey filter on the Royce Armoured Car.
Don't thin Vallejo acrylics with Tamiya acrylic thinner.  They will initially airbrush OK but will then develop a jelly like consistency which clogs up the works.  GP Thinners cleans it out.
Don't ask me how I know this.
After that I was going to polish the paint on the 'dyne but had a sneezing fit which set off a blood nose.  I took that as a sign, and so came indoors and played Ratchet & Clank on the PS4 instead.

I do the same thing, but I still wind up wandering through their maze, because sometimes 1) it helps to see the product set up, 2) it makes for a fun experience in people watching, and 3) I'll wind up getting some new idea.

Very understandable.  Technology bites.  My printer tosses up errors when it prints, and the HP website is totally unhelpful for resolving said error, even after uninstalling and reinstalling drivers.

Mine was behaving perfectly yesterday when I printed test sheets of some decals and then today the toplap just refused to connect.
I think maybe I need to take down to the beach and remind it of our little arrangement - It works as it is supposed to and I don't throw it in the bay.

Many, MANY moons ago, before printers and PCs were common, or even affordable, the late Mrs_PR19 and I had 2-3 typewriters between us. She used the seriously large, professional looking Smiths one and I used the lightweight Remington. The latter had an irritating habit of locking its keys together when I was typing fast, and I usually was!

On one occasion, when trying to type out a car club newsletter in a hurry, it did this one time too many, and I carried out to the back yard and threw it, VERY hard, against the garage wall, where it demolished itself into lots and LOTS of tiny parts.

Very satisfying.

It's amazing how often my office computer would stop playing silly beggars when I held it up to the window and threatened to throw it out. We were on the 15th floor of Millbank Tower at the time  I'm convinced Pratchett was right and in reality there's a tiny imp inside them.

Ikea ? Only reason I'll go is the meatballs in the cafeteria

Did well in my opinion  Although it's probably the Mrs opinion that's important

I did also bring home a large, shallow plastic storage tub with a lid.  Designed to be slid under a bed it will be perfect for transporting built up models to shows.

I've always had a few of those, but most have been 6" or so deep, which whilst ok still means you have wasted space if stacking on top of a wardrobe etc. Finally found some which are 4" deep in the local cheap shop the other week and are absolutely ideal. Bought a few just in case the delivery was a one off
