Not criticising, Fred, it's a personal taste thing; I just don't like V-tails (not massively keen on T-tails, either).

Now, if it had been a +-tail, a †-tail or a Y-tail, or even an X-tail I may have liked the tail more.

Still, as I said, an interesting build, none-the-less.

A y-tail is just a v-tail with a dangly bit.

It can be an easy way to create a whiff but one should really source bigger alternative flying surfaces rather than just cutting off the vertical tail and angling the stabilisers.

Yep, about 150% larger than the existing horizontal surfaces.

Not taking it personally mate.  If we all had the same preferences then the world would be a boring place.  I am quite willing to accept that there are other opinions than mine.  Obviously they are wrong opinions but they do exist...

109 looks really snazzy to me.  V-Tails work for me when used on the right stuff....  Bonanza? Sure...  109? Why not?  They seem to work on smaller aircraft but the larger you go, the less appealing they are to me. Like...  a big airliner with V-tail wouldn't look that great, if you ax me.

Finished the redo's on the Sunbeam Tiger and the Landcruiser yesterday.
At the last minute I went back to the Mitsubishi wheels i'd had on the 'cruiser before.  I just couldn't get it low enough to do the sports wheels and performance tyres justice.

At Model Car Clus last night John brought some more of his Merit builds.  The one closest to the phone is painted but the restore the original red plastic polished - it has faded over the years.

And Lloyd brought this 1/43 die cast Alfa Romeo Montreal.  One of my favourite cars and not, as far as I am aware, available as a 1/24 or 1/25 injection moulded kit.

At Model Car Clus last night John brought some more of his Merit builds.  The one closest to the phone is painted but the restore the original red plastic polished - it has faded over the years.

They all look good nonetheless. 

Didn't Bandai do a Montreal back in the 60s-70s sometime? It may not have been 1/24-25 though.

My cousin had a 1/1 scale one at one time, looked great, but it was an electrical DISASTER!

I'd love the Simpsons house lego set.  Or the Quicki-mart.  Or even better the Big Bang Theory set.  Or best of all both the Breaking Bad sets.
No, my Simpsons minifigs were all bought individually.

Interesting day today.  I arrived at work this morning to find that during the night some toerags had smashed the glass door of the post office and jemmied open the self service machines to get at the cash within.
We strung tape across the doorway and set up a temporary counter with a mobile point of sale machine.  Despite the tape and the piles of broken glass in the doorway (and me standing there trying to look like a doorman) some people still tried to get in.
Answering the same old question gets boring so we had to liven things up.
"Oh, are you not open.  What happened?"
"Earthquake..."  or
"Angry seagulls..."  or
"We're on strike, this is a picket line..."  or

Wednesday is market day and the denizens of the surrounding retierement communities are bussed into town to spend their pensions.

Today I finally got my finger out and painted the second camo colour on the 222.  This is a RW scheme used in the very early stages of WW2.

I also (having found a suitable three view on the interweb) started painting the camo on the Egg Phantom.

As it was warm I painted a car body.  The  '57 Ford panel van - white using enamel thinned with GP thinners.

And I finally completed the cockpit of the Analogue.  Much trimming and adjusting was required to get it to fit between the fuselage halves.

Oh, and a new secret project I am just calling No.2.  Wha ha ha ha (evil laugh).

According to the references I have been reading on line it is little known because in B&W photos the brown and the grey look identical and so the pattern cannot be seen and it is assumed that the vehicle is painted in the later all grey scheme.  The brown is supposed to be "dunkelbraun" but I used Dark Earth because it is what I have.

Got a second colour on the Egg Phantom today.  One of the greens.

Primed parts of the Analogue.

Nothing on No.2.  The major surgery I carried out on its wings required a lot of glue and it is still soft in places.
