Continuing the theme of creating high speed bombers by removing the top of an existing twin engined design.  I give you a very quick and dirty (and small) High Speed Hampden.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Status report.

Boxcar.  PSR on fuselage nearly complete (seams are being a bit stubborn) and only just begin on the wings and booms.  Mercedes staff car sourced to make up the load.

Sea Witch.  Next batch of parts to be painted prepared for primer.

Dewoitine D500.  PSR finished and basic NMF paint applied.  This is silver car spray, which because I put it on in a too humid environment has a flat finish.  Clear should bring it up OK but first I want to add the special paint applied for the 1936 tiger meet...

Academy 1/72 HEMTT.  Pulled this out of the part started pile along with an ICM Katyusha (short shot on two of the launch tubes but fixed previously with evergreen.  More parts from both have been assembled and its time for radical surgery...

Heller Delahaye 135.  I've started this for the Special Theme class at the Ballarat show in May.  Theme is French.  Chassis is built and painted gloss black.  It is an intricate construction with posable steering.  All the individual steering components are made to scale meaning that they are rather fragile.  I have managed to keep everything moving so far (even under primer and gloss black paint) but expect that at some point I will break something and have to glue it all in a fixed position.

Hmm, just going out on a limb, here, but I'm guessing it's not 1/35 scale. ;)

After working this morning and then dozing all afternoon I arose from the sofa filled with mojo and painted the stripes on this.

Nice work sir

Glad to see I'm not the only person to find those "trays" very useful for various  modelling purposes.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Thank you Christopher.
Mrs z's lung drugs come packaged in those aluminium trays.  Very sturdy, very handy, very unnecessary IMO but very usefull.
