;D Me neither, i just appreciate the fact that i can drive longer for the same amount of money.

I wish I could, I've not driven my car more than 100 yards for three weeks now, and that was just to make sure it still ran!

That may change next week as I have to get some 'essential supplies', grey primer paint in  my case!

I'll be the first to admit that I know nothing about economics...
...just like most of the "experts" I see on the idiots lantern.  Economic Forecasters - invented to make the weather men look accurate.

Ah economics  When I went on to do A Level History and Geography the grammar school I had to switch to insisted we did 3 A Levels and so I elected to do Economics. The master was certainly the worst teacher I ever had and just sat behind his desk moaning on and twiddling his tie. For my very first essay I managed a graph to show "supply and demand" and that was it  :banghead: I lasted 6 weeks at Selhurst (which is now the Brit School) before me and said master fell out. Both the history and geography masters tried to persuade me to stay on but I couldn't just do 2 subjects so thus ended my dalliance with grammar school and I joined the wonderful world of work a decision I never regretted.

I got my history A Level at evening class in the City Institute (Where Nick's club meet) whilst I was doing my professional exams  One big difference between A Levels at the City Institute and Selhurst ? At the City it was straight in the pub afterwards  ;)

Ah, Selhurst.
You'll think of the soccer ground.  I think of the rolling stock depot.

Progress on the Boxcar.  It's close to the stage where i will join the fuselage and the wings.  I cleared the fuselage today and removed the masking from the windows.  As always when doing this it was a relief to find no paint under there.

Always a big win!

From memory of building a RW AC-119G some while ago the wings don't need much glue to hold them in.

Mine was an almost perfect fit, and the only reason I did glue them was because I couldn't see any way to transport it to shows with the tailplane flopping about between the booms!

Yup  ;D I've been going to the FOOTBALL ground since I was 4 and Dad worked at the depot for a while, before going up to London Bridge/Tooley St.

I had friends who lived on one of the streets bounding Selhurst Park.  They both loved and hated it.
Soccer crowds were a pain on home game days but at any other time it was quiet and at all times the police were very attentive to their needs.

Wings and booms on the Boxcar got gloss cleared today.  Working on transfers now.

Handy for the daily commute as well, NJ or Selhurst and even Thornton Heath all within walking distance. Area's changed over the last few years.

You mean Fornt'n 'eef?
  ;)

For a while when living in Addiscombe I took to getting the train back to NJ and then walking home from there so as to get some exercise.
Not a walk i did at night unless I had to though.

Some work on the Boxcar's cowlings today.  The Aqua/Green stripe on the booms will continue onto them and curve down to below.

Addiscombe? About a mile from my Nanna's place, where I lived for the first 3 yrs of my life.

Small world.

I lived in Addiscombe while married (Teevan Rd) and used to walk back from NJ on an evening. Used to cut down the alley that ran at the back of the old brick works. You wouldn't get me within a mile of there now even if it was open  :-X

BNA model world sent me their usual weekly e-mail of new stock.

Starsky needs more hair surely?

But I'm sure you can fix that with some putty or Milliput.

I keep thinking of that sequence where he jumps over the hood of the Torino, misses and makes a 1 pointer landing ON the hood. Then his hair carries on without him.............  ;D ;)
