Breguet is nearly there.  I pulled a Smer (ex Heller) example out of the French section of the stash for a quick comparison.  It has no interior, much fewer parts and the engine cowlings are a very different shape to the Azur ones.  Prime for whiffing then...

More paint issues though this morning.  I primed the petrol tank of the Kawasaki using my usual primer and the plastic appears to have crazed.  Not good for something that is the focus of the bike and needs to be smooth and shiny.  I use this primer on everything and it has never had this issue before - I thought it was safe.  I can only assume it is Hasegawa's plastic.  Oddly I have used the same primer on the frame and engine parts without any problems  (although the rattle can is nearing empty - is it possible the solvent to paint ratio is higher now?).  But the tank is white plastic whereas the other parts were black and grey.  I'll sand it back and try again with a different primer.

So is your stash "filed" by nationality of the subject then ? Mine is by manufacturer and then nationality within that, or at least I try to.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I practise distributed stash storage as it reduces the possibility of accidental spousal realisation of just how large it is.
Sorted is too strong a word but there are rough groupings according to subjects.  As far as Aircraft go I have all the big models together in one place along with the French planes.  This is solely because there was space for them there.  Helicopters and 1/48 armour are together for the same reason.  WW2 aircraft have their own place which is next to "other military aircraft".  And the small WW1 stash shares space with the civil kits.
Oh, and all the Hasegawa "box art & font" kits are together on the shelves above my bench.
Car kits used to be sorted properly but I have so many of them that they are now stuffed anywhere they will fit.  I really need to either speed up my car building or sell a load off.

I sanded back and re primed the Kawasaki tank today.  I used the same primer but from a new can (shaken for at least 30 seconds after the ball rattled as per instructions).  It was better but there is still some slight crazing which makes me think it is a combination of both having used an almost empty can and the plastic being sensitive to the solvent.
A light sand should get it smooth and I will then try Tamiya FSP.  But that means a trip to the LHS which in turn means temptation and the likelihood of yet another stash addition.

Breguet should be finished either tomorrow or Sunday.

Ah, totally understandable

Your Breguet has got me looking at the Azure part of the stash, it's amazing how far they've come from their early kits to latest, and also reading my few references on WWII French aviation. The New Year build list is growing

Breguet is completed and has it's own thread here.

I sanded back and repainted the Kawasaki petrol tank with what little Tamiya light grey FSP I had.  No crazing.
So I went to the LHS to get more pale grey and some white only to find that there appears to be a nationwide shortage of the stuff.  The bloke in the shop blamed it on the fact that the Australian distributor is in South Australia and they are in lockdown.
I may have to put this to one side for a while.

Bits and pieces today.
Painting Sd.Kfz 251 wheels for the Captured GB took up a lot of time.
I continued scratching up the interior of the Tank Engined Hot Rod by creating pedals and seatbelts.
I continued painting a Mitsubishi T2 I started a while back.  The paintjpb is something different (definitely NOT greys) but i'd sort of lost interest in it.  Picking it up and starting again reignited my enthusiasm and the pattern is now fully laid out and I can add more colour.
I fiddled around with a few cars i've started but mainly started putting the transfers onto an AMT Chuck Miller's Fire Truck.

Each part of the pinstriping is a separate piece but they are tough and thin and went on very easilly.  I did one side and then flooded it with Microsol so it all confirms and have then left it to dry before I tackle the next section.

The Chuck Miller looks very good, Fred. Colour is brilliant (figuratively & literally)!

Thanks Womby.
Thats Candy Apple Red - Clear Red over Gold.  Second attempt after I screwed up the clear the first time.

Candy apple paint looks really nice and rivals "tricycle" for favorite red paint.   Great job. I wonder if I could find clear colored paint in rattle can............  I may have missed it but what are you using?
-Sprues McDuck-

Rheged

That is a lovely shade of red.  Crack on with it please; I really want to see the finished article!

Testors used to do enamel candies in rattle cans.  You might be able to find some of them.
However, Tamiya do some clear colours in their Ts spray paint range.  Don't try and mix them with enamels though.  In fact, from experience, Tamiya spray paint doesn't like to play well with others generally.

I need to finish the transfers on this.  However, xmas working hours have started so i've got less bench time until next year.

Cheers.   Knowing myself as well as I do I'll have forgotten all about this by time I get around to using it. Off in the distant future I want to build some autos but good Lord that's partly wishful thinking. I have a bit of a back log of AIRCRAFT I'm trying to convince myself to finish but the difficulty level be kicking me arse. lol

When you get to building cars, just ask.

Speaking of which, today I put on the pinstripes on the other side of the Fire Truck and also transfers on the Mitsubishi T2 i've been building,

Ahhh!!     Nice...      And I just noticed the light on the intake.  ;D

Also. Inspiration has struck. A fire fighting tanker plane painted up in traditional style fire engine paint job.
