Captain Canada

First build of 2015. I have some updates on my blog but figured I'd start a thread for it.

Bits and bits....lots of sub assemblies in a big 4 engine bird like this.

Spartan interior, bust enough detail to add some paint etc.

Buttoned up last night

Wait till you fill that seam and PSR it whilst attempting to keep the forrest of rivets  :banghead:

Good thing I'm not a rivet counter!

Are you keeping to the instructions or going on a Whiff with a single vertical tail fin?
I've always found problems with the bomb bay doors not lining up, and the lack of detailing. Photo etch parts for the Avro Lancaster could be used or resin parts for the Halton could be used as a speed-pack if the civvie or water bomber version.
Canadian decals would look great.

That reminds me, i'm planning on building an Airfix Rotodyne this year... ;D

Lot's of rivetty goodness there capn.  Looking forward to this progressing.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Just sand all the rivets off.  No one will notice they are gone, once it's painted.

I have one all sanded up in the half finished hangar of shame. The fuselage is so warped I gave up on it. So I think this one will jut be glues together and painted. My only problem is in-flight or gear down. She's such a big bird I think she will look impressive either way.

Is it 1/72 (or 1/144 or 1/48)?

Captain Canada

That's right, it would save shelf space and look good too.
