I'm now thinking that the Russians could develop a stealth Variant of the Mi-24 Hind as a replacement for the older variants of the hind with Plasma stealth technology. What do you say?

Captain Canada

Lots of cheap Monogram 48th scale kits around.....so I say go for it !

The stealthy Hind would need a new stealthy looking cockpit and it would be a twin tailed.

Captain Canada

Should be easy enough to scratch a stealthy cockpit, all flat and angles. Just need some suitable clear plastic.

Yes indeed that's what it needs

Sounds like a plan. Do you have any sketches ? What about that fake one from Rambo III ? Kinda stealthy-ish. Maybe. Guess I should go google it and see.

Was that a Puma with a different cockpit and wings? Looked like a Puma to me.

No need to modify the helicopter's structure if it uses plasma ;)

Sorry to go off topic slightly but I've always thought a Hind D fuselage with short wings, swivelling podded jets and a V-tail would make a decent looking manned Hunter-Killer from Terminator type VTOL. It would be more stealthy like that than with all those spinning blades.

Not a bad Idea

Inverted V tail.  Might have problems with the jet exhaust but it would look better.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

The Puma from "Rambo III" had just the stub wings, IIRC. The more accurate looking Puma Hind is the mod from "Red Dawn" to represent the Hind A. It had an entire nose section fitted as well as the wings. If you wanted a flat-panel canopy setup, then the Hind A would be a good start.

Indeed the Rambo II "Hind" and the Rambo III "Hind" had differences, with the Puma in III getting guns.

You can click on the movie titles by the first letter of the Alphabet.  Click on "R" for Rambo series.... The ugly "hind" prize has to go to "Red Scorpion"- I didn't think a S-52 could get any uglier
