Lost, forlorn, and otherwise forgotten whiffs of days gone by. Some will be from the old site, others unseen, others never finished.

First off, remember the 'old days' when you used 35mm film ? That's right, we put little canisters of film into our cameras, and that usually gave us up to 24 tries to get a decent pic ! Afterwards, you took said film to be developed. Sometimes you waited hours, even days !

Here's a few prints I found the other day.

A single seat Voodoo fighter. I had envisioned it all camo and such but took the easy way out and painted it like a 104 from Germany in the 70s Air Div days. Hasegawa 72nd scale RF bird.

Matchbox F-104 as an updated CAF bird.

Another Matchbox kit I think. Was supposed to be a wild weasel.

A collection of Arrows from the old shack. Not sure how they all ended up.

An Attack Tutor. Or Tutor Attacker. Why not ?

My old Super Lanc. Another one that was never really finished. Made from the 48th scale Tamiya kit. Used the props from a second kit and the fins are scratch built.

The Sea Whirlwind. Airfix kit with Merlin engines and props from some old P-51B models I had built way back when.

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Thanks Nils ! I have a few boxes of half starts and RW builds and such. I want to photograph those as well, for posterity. And then maybe break them down into components for future whifs or sharing etc.

Great work.  The all-green Voodoo looks cool, as well as the lo-viz Tutor.
And the Sea Whirlwind with the original nacelles is a nice comparison to my conversion with full Mossie engine pods.

Winners, every one!

Love that Sea Whirlwind, I've often thought that the ground clearance would be ideal for slinging a torpedo underneath.

My fav ? The Sea Whirlwind
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Captain Canada

Hey thanks guys. I appreciate the comments. It is pretty cool to do the 'trip down memory lane' eh ? maybe we will see a few more pop up !

I just wish I had even a picture of one of my better models or dioramas. Like the one of the CAR (Cunningham Anderson Restorations) shops where there were old well worn race cars from NASCAR sitting out back stripped down and worn, in the stripping shop being disassembled, the engine and driveline shop, the body and paint shop and the reassembly shop plus some out front ready for their new homes. All in 1:24th scale. All in a three foot by four foot display.
2nd wife got it all from tiny cast pistons and rods to the two hauler trucks.

Your really overspending the Canadian armed forces budget. ...........and looks like you have been doing it for a few years now. Watch out for the black helicopters they know where you live. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
