I did think of Volvo estate and then the prices hit me ..ouch!!
Like Fred said everything is either out of stock or to bloody expensive .
That Dodge Magnum is pretty cool and that would be a mental looking vehicle with a massive blown big block V8 but again..freakin hens teeth gents.
I dont what it is but for some reason station wagons seem be history except for the Nova..thats everywhere..even here .
Theres one shop i know which have a good selection of model cars but they dont have a webpage to buy from so ill check them out next week..Stocker models always has surprises so ya never know.

I had a look at Tamiya Volvo 850 Estates on ebay and I was APPALLED!  :o

Those prices are OUTRAGEOUS!  :banghead:

I'm very glad I've already got one of each version, standard and the BTCC one, in The Loft.

Checks everything- Rust, missing trim, one door a different color.  I can't see the tires, but one of them should be bald.
The Leng Plateau is lovely this time of year

Thata sounds exactly like a old MK4 Cortina i used to have.

I certainly didn't! At the time I had a real one, a 2.5 10 valve manual, as a company car, and I've got one now too, a 2.5 20 valve auto. I wanted to build a model of my company car as it was the best one (out of 13....) I'd driven, but the 'standard' Tamiya kit is LHD for the US market, but the BTCC version is RHD, so I was going to 'just swap the parts'....

It wasn't as easy as that of course, and I didn't get too far with the build, but I probably will now that this thread has reminded me.  ;D

I presume you mean my Chevelle.  I built it years ago and then AMT nicked my surf wagon idea for the latest release.
It was the first model of mine which won a prize - people's choice - at a show.  I don't have decent pics of it but I don't have it at a moment.  Its in a friend's storage unit and he is being slack getting it back to me.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

God i miss the old BTCC racing..they defined bumper to bumper driving and its still the best racing ive ever seen.
I did want a 850 sport or a T5..a very cool looking car and it still is until I found out that is goes thru front tyres like their going out of fashion but the want is still there cause in todays world we can sort out that problem.
Thats a car we rarely see here now..still plenty of Volvos out there ..mostly SUVs and sedans..the odd estate aswell .
The model verison is a no go..we all know why..the Chevelle aint looking any better..the Caddie is also hens teeth...damn my options are gettin very limited here chaps
The Nova is still out there but it might be to small to get the lines im after because ppl wgo saw ECTO loved the way it sat ..the proportions looked right and the Nova i dont think can achieve that.
The Chevelle would have achieved that i think .

My Volvo 850 is pretty good on front tyres, but it's not a T5 of course.

The 20 valve motor puts out 175 bhp which is enough to frighten off most of the BMW drivers here, mainly because they just can't BELIEVE a Volvo Estate can go that quick.  ;D

Oh i love a sleeper mate  ;D
To this day ive wanted a sleeper 850 but not with a 4cly engine but not a V8 as that sound is hard to hide..nope a Paxton supercharged V6 ..instant power but not the loudness of a 8 and a turbo 350 or 400 trans..give it a boring paint job but fully upgraded suspension and brakes and just to fully keep it boring ..custom made wheels which are wider than stock but look stock or some cheap looking mags which make the car look better but give the impression the owner didnt have enough money to get better ones.
Heres the best sleeper ive ever seen..a MK2 Cortina..two tone paint..white and light blue..blinds in the back window..stock steering wheel ..stock looking wheels and exhaust..now heres the loud part..one 429bbl V8..C6 trans..9in Ford diff and painted black sitting on the trans tunnel a B&M shifter..to hide the 3in exhaust they took the back muffler apart from a stock exhaust ..cut the arse off the muffler and welded to the 3in so it looks stock ..the back wheels are 15in and wider but because of hub caps it dont look like it..amazing build.
Saw this car in Aussie street machine mag many yrs ago..still love that car  ;D

All the 850s have a FIVE cylinder engine! That gives it a lovely warble that sounds like nothing else.  ;D

Both my other  cars are sleepers too, the largest being a Vauxhall Signum in black. No-one knows what it is from the rear, my neighbour calls it 'Your wide Astra.'  ;D  and from the front it looks just like a normal Vectra C. But it has a 2.8 litre V6 that shoves out 280 bhp. Good enough for Government work.  ;D

The little one IS an Astra, but a Twin Top, with the umpteen part folding roof. It's a turbo too, a 2 litre one that delivers around 200 bhp and shreds front tyres. :(

Nothing  absolutely NOTHING  shreds tyres as fast as a Triumph Herald when the owner sets off at a rate of knots with the front wheels on full lock!!  I've seen  an idiot strip both front tyres off the rims that way!!

Ahhh i forgot that Kit..shows how long its been since ive seen a 850 let alone heard one..everything here Volvo wise is nothing like the cars of old and the prices here for parts for old euro cars are stupid thats if you can even get them anymore.

Im not surprised your turbo Astra shreds tyres when it weights about the same as a louded wheel barrow mate  ;D
That old panel van of mine was a monster shredder of tyres..fact it would spin the back rubber on the motor way at 80kph without a problem ..not great tyre life  :-\

Here we go again.......
Was thinking of a new idea..one ive never built before and always wanted to but lacked the skills..a full custom pro street 69 Dodge Charger Daytona .
I have a base model in mind which gives you a good amount of options.
The Revell kit gives you 2 engines and of course it would be the Hemi..14/71 supercharger i have would go ..or wouldve gone perfectly .
AMT do a collector tin model buts its stupid expensive at $85nz and it wouldn't be as good as the Revell kit.
Its like what ever ideas i come up with these days i might as well head butt a wall ..its bloody near pointless even talking the time to bother thinking of anything car based these days.
I can pretty much forget anything station wagon based..theres nothing out there and as for saloons theres plenty but ive ether built one many yrs ago and dont want to built it again or i have no interest for whats out there.
I knew this car building deal would be a pain but damn i wasnt expecting this.
