Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

No physical signs of the Revell Shackleton then?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kit

Nope not yet, then again the Airfix one is only a prototype, no tooling for that either.

Does anyone know if Revell's Su-27SM is a new tool or a just a re-boxing?

Re-boxing of the excellent Zvezda kit, so best kit with better Revell decals

I must say I'm rather underwhelmed by the lack of announcements.   We've known about the Airfix ones for a while now so nothing surprising there but its the rather disappointing (to me) turn out by the other manufacturers which surprised me.  Must be an "off" year.

Agreed. After reading the list I'm less than enthusiastic. I think the HC.4 might take care of that tho

Well we have only seen the initial days photos, the usual second photo source on IPMS Germany has been quiet, and Thomas on Prime Portal hasn't covered the smaller Czech firms or Italeri yet. Then again companies may well be reluctant to release a definative 2015 line up especially if they struggle to meet those deadlines. Airfix have got it pretty much sorted out, and were only let down last year by the drop in production QC with their Indian sub-contractor. Revell are hit and miss especially with new tools not yet designed, and Italeri, Trumpeter, MPM have the traditional announce and then maybe get it out in the year or the next or just leave it in limbo.

It really does show how far Airfix have actually come in such a short time, from collapse to rebirth and now focused on getting new tools or replacement kits that they don't even have any old tool re-issues now in 72nd aircraft !!.

Anyway we'll have to wait and see if we get any more news today, but don't expect much.

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.
