Nice work. Surprising how good a battle looks when done ! What colours did he use ?

Cap'n C.......many thanks......surprisingly.....they are the little Airfix acrylic tubs that came with the box set......the black is 33 and the dark earth is 29 and the green 30.........

This is Max's first attempt at whiffing.....we thought something simple with yhe kits he had. These are the Hurricane and Blenheim from the Airfix VC gift set. The Blenheim is an absolute dog.....!!!! It didn't help thatbthe carpet monster swallowed the pilot side clear part.....only to be found byMax today adas he finished it. As it has to be put in from the inside an due to the trouble with other clear parts I didn't fancy doing it all again with Max.....so off it stayed. After a bit of thought and looking at some different schemes Max decided he liked the Republican schemr. He said as the "other's had Germsn stuff, they should have British....."......So, here are his verdions of a Republican Hurricane and a Blenheim....this WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN POSSIBLE without the help and time of our great member Kit and his skills with decals. A massive thank you to you Kit.....you know how happy you made Max......the schemes are loosely based on a Polikarpov Rata and an SB2 bomber.....

Weaver.....we settled on this as it was easier for Max to paint than the brown with green mottles that I liked on a Fury....I think....it was a British biplane......

I'm dead chuffed with how they came out, Max made a great job of them. 

Needless to say there were numerous PMs back and forth between Hank and I, but it was all worth it when he sent me a pic of Max grinning like crazy holding his first sheet of Whiff decals.

You should post that pic for general release Hank, Max's grin is worth its weight in gold.

It's probably as authentic as any whiff Republican scheme. The Russian I-15s and I-16s came with relatively generous supplies including paint, so quite a few non-Soviet Republican birds ended up painted the same colour because it was the only paint going.

Cheers....I think at the moment they will be confined to a/c in different schemes....simple stuff....although he does have the Red Bull boxing by Revell of the T28B Trojan in 1/48...I can see that being armed an a COIN a/c...I'm sure some used it like that......we will do some research.....but it could be Israeli.....we will see....

Max has brought a selection of models to his Nannies.....for display at Crewe model show on Sunday.......he is very excited.....and I am very proud.......
