Malta camouflage as displayed in the Museum in Valetta - The lines were shades of brown and green - never saw any in black.

Someone has taken their time doing those paint jobs.  Note on the pics of the bike and the gun that they appear not to be painted that way.
However, it is excellent and I shall be applying something similar in the future.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I would not wonder if the tank paint scheme was improvised on site with anything that the army could get hold on. Aircraft were a similar matter.

BTW, just finished a quick(?) three day project yesterday, and work on "my" Maltese Buffalo started en suite.

Quick progress, OOB build, just minor mods like lowered flaps (easy to realize on the Matchbox kit), will rather be a whiffy color variant.

Further progress. The "Maltalo" got wings, major body work finished.

"Special ordnance" caused some headaches, but found a convenient solution in the scrap pile.  ;D

Still waiting for some decals I ordered on short notice, but painting might start this evening.

Basic painting done; trying to simulate an overpainted Dark Green/Dark Earth aircraft, similar to those that were based on Crete, with the old tones shimmering through. Looks good/odd so far...

Nice spot re: the gunners helmets ! Pretty cool paint scheme as well !

Work more or less finished; decals were placed yesterday evening (special code letter decals just arrived in time ), and today in the morning a coat of matt acrylic varnish was added. Weekend will see extensive photo session, since I now have two kits to present...

Librarian

Not a Buffalo but a little inspiration. Nick produced a really nice Malta print recently, it's the detail in the background I always admire:

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)
