Utterly  BRILLIANT on all levels Weaver. A perfect model and an outstanding backstory that will have historians searching through records for YEARS!

Well worth its Whiffie nomination.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

for a moment, I couldn't decide whether I was looking at the model or at a 3D rendering.

Great job, Weaver

Great job, I've enjoyed this project.   Nice one Harold.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Cheers folks, and thanks for the Whiffie nomination!  :drink:

Perfect ! How did you get the finish so perfect ? I absolutely love this one !

  :tornado:

It's anything but perfect, however Halford's white undercoat, plus coats of Humbrol clear gloss clear matt cover pretty nicely. Both clear coats went on very yellow but cleared up when dried for several days in sunlight. It's still a bit "creamy" but I don't think that's out of place for the 1960s look. I've got it on a window sill at the moment seeing ifmore sunlight will improve it a bit.

I recall the early Buccaneer S1s looking distinctly cream at some displays I went to back then, so your Skyhawk will fit right in.

Looks very good and the backstory has me convinced. Don't let the Daily Mail read it, it'll be front page news!

I got lucky with the light that day: light grey overcast that gave a diffused, neutral light.
