Heinkel He-51; Grün Berta, Nord Eindringling Geschwader Keilschwanz. Tanami, Aryan Südreich. February 1940

Heinkel He-51 AS 001 by Fred Maillardet, on Flickr

The He 51s of the Wedgetail Northern Intruder Squadron, based at Tanami in the Aryan Südreich, carried out missions roaming across British North Australia at will until the advent of the Fairey Fulmar ended their dominance of the air.
The aircraft shown is finished in the red sand and scrub smoke ring scheme used by Aryan Südreich forces in the North of the country and carries their "fasces" markings (known to their opponents as 'stumps' for obvious reasons).

The Model.  Hasegawa 1/72 He-51 built box stock.  Painted with automotive red oxide primer and Vallejo acrylics.  Smoke rings are decals and like the stumps are home made.  Rigging is Ezi Line.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

....and a lovely job with those smoke ring camo; very subtle but effective .

Captain Canada

Very nice. Love the colours on it, really go together nice with the markings and the camo pattern.

impressive technique (I wouldn't be able) and
very beautiful patter!

(but ... where did the floats go?  ;) if there were any in the original kit?)

Maybe I wasn't clear?- the smoke rings are decals.  One large decal on the upper wing and smaller ones on the fuselage and horizontal tails.

The floats Eric, are on this.

ah yes, I think I saw that one : excellent!
the FW is one of the few I haven't floatplanized yet ;-)

The Wooksta!

Hasegawa released the He 51 in various guises over the last 50 years, not all of them with floats, the one I got a few weeks back didn't have them.

Wish I could find the one I know is in me Mam's loft...
