Yes the stand was very well stocked and manned by fine English stalwarts:

The show was OK.  Some ridiculous rip of 2nd prices courtesy of many of the traders (Mr Collectakit: well done for keeping it real.  I know I didn't buy anything off you but your prices were by far and away the only sensible ones).  £15 for a Matchbox Hunter?  that was the going price on each of the stalls I saw one on.

Successful stash reduction funded an Xtrakit Hunter T7 to go with the Freightdog Hawker P.1130 conversion that's already in the stash.

Kitbasher, your Photobucket album seems to be set to Private so we can't see the photos.

Edit: My fault, I had to change a setting in the HTTPS Everywhere extension and now they display normally.

Army of One

I can see them no prob.......had a great day and so did Max.......thanks to the chaps who made him so welcome. He even got invited to display his Ju87 Stuka on the Luftwaffe SIG......they were very interested and great with him.......post more later

i am very pleased to see that though I couldn't be be there lots of my models were.

my thanks for Richard B and Andy Devenport for taking them there.

also thanks to kitbasher for some very nice fotos of the stand and my models.

all very cheery after another very difficult week as Richard B knows at university.

and I have also had the very good news yesterday that I had been successful in getting a ticket to the 100th anniversary open day at RAF Northolt
on june 13th, 2015. even more nice was that the RAF made it a complimentary one at that!  this show is two weeks or so after my uni' exams finish and is a near perfect pre-exam stress reliever! :)

It was a good day at MK, despite the start in stygian darkness as the roof lights over our corner didn't get turned on until an hour or so into the show. Richard and I had to set the stand up originally almost by feel!

As Dave Kitbasher has said, we found out we were both doing the same Whiff, except I've got a bit further and into the 'bitten off more than I can chew' category. However after lengthy discussions we may have found a way foreward, so possibly by Telford.....  ;D

I took zillions of pics but then ruined the whole idea by arriving home after a diabolical journey along the cursed A40 and promptly fell asleep when I got here and I've just woken up........... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Maybe tomorrow?

Right.....thanks go to Dave Kitbasher for my models....and his generosity in giving Max a kit to build, to Kit for talking to Max and returning his Republican Hurricane....to the Luftwaffe SIG as well who invited Max to display his Stuka on their table, and giving him a magazine and a book about the Stuka and to the Alclad rep for plonking a lovely embroidered Alclad baseball cap on his head.....
Also, big thanks to Trevor for the weapon  spares and the fantastic envelope  full of decals.....cheers

He was probably reading his Nimrod book, he'd planned about 10 builds from it by the end of the day!

Most likely, knowing Mike
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.
