I have nothing new to report in this blog. That is all. Carry on.
Modeling isn't just about how good the gluing or painting, etc. looks. It's also about how creative and imaginative you can be with a subject.
My modeling philosophy is: Don't build what everyone else has done. Build instead what nobody has seen or done before.

That's ok, we're keeping an eye on you on your other threads

Small update.  ;)
Work on a 1/72 scale Japanese F-16XL is pretty much done except for needing extra decals.
I hope somebody at my local model club meeting will have some.
And speaking of meetings, my local model club's Christmas meeting and gift exchange is on the 14th.
What will I get or hope to get during the Christmas gift exchange? Who knows? I just hope it's a model I'll like or be able to whif it.
To recieve a gift during the exchange, a person must bring a gift. Preferably model/modeling related.
So I'm bringing a DRAGON 1/35 scale Sd.Kfz.234/4 Panzerspahwagen for the gift exchange.
And a friend I go to the club meetings with is bringing a cheesecake to share with other members. It's a yearly thing he does.
And not just any cheesecake, but supposedly, it'll be a blueberry cheesecake infused with liquor.  :o  What kind? I don't know. He hasn't said.
Work on my 1/72 scale SV-22 Osprey anti-submarine aircraft is proceeding fairly ok. Not great, but just ok. Hope to also have this aircraft done before the end of December.
And it's possible I may start a third kit soon. I won't say what it is just yet. It all depends on if I can get extra aftermarket supplies for it next weekend on the 14th or not. Until then, it's Classified. ;)
As for my big 1/350 stealth aircraft carrier project, I haven't done much on that the last week or two. I may take a break from that during the whole month of December, then get back to it during January. We'll see how things go.

The end of 2024. The year in review.

I'm afraid I didn't finish any model projects for 2024. I came close, but some projects still need decals or still need to be built yet. Pics are below. I guess they'll just have to be finished instead for 2025. But of course, my stealth aircraft carrier project I am also currently building takes priority first. ;) That more than anything else is what I want to finish in 2025.

You have still made good progress, so take the partial Win!

Out with the old, and in with the new!  ;D  Had to get a new desk lamp for my modeling space. Got it on sale on Amazon a week ago for $55.

But it doesn't have a magnifier like the old one. Can you still use the old one for that?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I like it! I like it a lot!

I'm actually tempted to get one for myself. £100+ though

That's what I thought Nick. UK price for any sort of decent work lamps tends to be daft putting it mildly.

The people who attend SMW always offer good Show prices but you have to take them home with you.

Indeed it is!  ;D

It's too late. The old lamp went in the garbage weeks ago. If I need a magnifier, I'll have to get a pair of magnifying glasses or buy a small magnifyer on a stand.

Anyway, the new lamp has different light settings. below are two pictures of the instructions.

Shame, I was thinking the old lamp would make a good spacecraft, hover tank or a huge turret.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Maybe when I get my tax refund I'll search for something on Amazon.
