Early Introduction of Boeing E-3 Sentry into RAF service

Hi All

I've have in my stash a Revell 1/144 NATO Boeing Sentry. So WHAT IF the British Government had admitted defeat before it'd started down the path of the Nimrod AEW aircraft and had opted to buy Sentries so that they were introduced almost in parallel with the USAF Sentries in the late 1970s (and yes I realise the political landscape would've had to look very different)

My question is what might a likely colour scheme have been? I want something different from the grey they eventually operated in once they were actually introduced, my musings have covered the following possibilities based on the schemes used by various types in the late 1970s

Grey/White - similar to the Nimrods
Grey/White - similar to VC10 and transport aircraft
Dark Grey - a la Shackleton AEW.2s !
Hemp .... perhaps after a few years in service?
Green/Dk. Grey/ Lt Grey (undersides) camouflage ....just as a wildcard! 

And I feel I've seen this scenario already modelled somewhere (presumably on this site?) ....or am I imagining it?

almost correct. Ive done the model but it was intended as a canceled project rather than a whiff
Dont let it stop you doing your own take on the Sentry thou

White/blue zigzag stripe/gray like the VC.10 would be cool.
the most likely would be the schemes seen on the Nimrod AEW.3 airframes: white/hemp and overall hemp
