While i tried a few paper models for the roof (which I all did not like so far), I added a first colour to the Duck:

But as said, the final colours will be red and white.

Made them in Boston, Miami Beach and Dublin. Boston and Dublin had the classic Ducks (altough in Dublin, they had to attack additional floats before they went into the water). Miami Beach however had some more modern and bigger vehicles.

The Duck no has its right colours and some wheels :)

Right now I am planning the roof for the passenger area. Some parts have been alrewady made out of plastic sheets, some first attempts for the roof are printed on the computer and will now be made out of plastic sheets as well. Appearance of those parts can still be changed.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I've been looking for this pic for ages, ever since you started the thread, and today I found it.  ;D

This is a DUKW that I took a ride on through the Wisconsin Dells DUKW route alongside, and on, the Wisconsin River back in the 90s. They had maybe 5 - 6 DUKWs in their fleet, all painted similarly and in seemingly good condition too. Great fun.  ;D

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

That's exactly the sort of roof I was picturing.  Except with stripes and a fringe.

Worked a bit for the roof, now made out of plastic sheets:

As a test, its now added to the Duck. Don't know yet if I should make it in red or white, but I think the genral size and shape is ok.

How about having the roof with red and white stripes ?

While I am waiting for some decal paper (interesting challange to make some decals for the first time), I worked on a entry ladder at the rear of the duck

Finally the decal paper has arrived, so it was now the time to try to make some decals.

For the first attempt it worked out quite good:

Nore decals will follow.

Still not happy with the roof of the Duck, so it neds a bit more work for it.
