Very good!! I was never much of a fan of big bomber types but this one has just made it into top spot on my favourite big boys list. Great scheme to suit it up!

Apart from the obvious, what's the difference between the MR.3 and MR.4, are there any comparative drawings anywhere ?

Almost everything........

The Mk 3 was the cancelled Airborne Early Warning version with the massive radomes fore and aft, whereas the MRA4 was the equally cancelled MR version with hardly any parts left over from the MR2s, even though it looked vaguely the same shape.

Weaver probably knows every single nut and bolt fitted to an MRA4, but he may not be allowed to tell us about them, even though it has been cancelled.

So apart from the big intakes on the MR.4, how much of the Airfix kit MR.2 wing can you use to make a MR.4 wing

The outer parts would probably work OK, but the entire engine area is different, deeper and wider and more 'tubular' than the flattened installation for the Speys. Outboard of the engines the wing is quite a bit thicker but tapers down to MR2 size after a few feet, whereas the MR2s wings just start abruptly outboard of the engines.

Thanks Kit, as I'm drawing up some big engine intakes for my alternative Vulcan based projects, I thought if there were some decent drawings of the MR.4 I might have a go at drawing up the engine section too.

A few drawings of MRA4s show up under those search parameters I mentioned., but you need to take a close look first as some MR1 and 2 drgs. pop up as well.
