So I'm starting a day late. Stuff happens.  I've got an old Airfix SAAB Draken that will become a USAF Aggressor.

We don't just embrace insanity here.  We feel it up, french kiss it and then buy it a drink.

Sounds like fun! Decided on just which paint scheme yet?

IIRC, I saw a Saab 35 as USAF Aggressor with a Ferris scheme somewhere (analogue to the USN's F-4S). Curious how this will turn out?

Another interesting choice ! Look forward to seeing this one, can only imagine how much fun it would have been to fly and fight against.

One of these kits has been in a local newsagents' for ages....this may tempt me into buying it. Looking forward to your updates, Ed!

Today's status. It's assembled and ready to mask the canopy and start painting.

WHAAAAAT!??  :o

It's a Hawker Hunter, arguably the best looking jet of the 50s-60s!!!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

This gives a brief description and explains the company that flies the Hunters and other aircraft as contractors to the US government.
The history of the Hawker Hunter is a good read.

They're using those hunter for Aggressors?

Along with the Skyhawks and L-39s. I think if I read it right most of it is electronic warfare simulation vs air combat maneuvering. Nice paint schemes too.
