Yes kit. The real X-47 has folding wings, it is carrier based, and you do get the options in the kit.
It is just different inserts for joining the outer wings to the body.
For the sake of the photos I used latex glue/masking fluid to join them, rather precariously, together, so that they could subsequently be separated.
My original plan was for the final configuration to be with both wings extended, but having looked at the photos I think it looks better with the sarboard wing in the "saluting" position. You get to see the underwing markings that way.
Incidentally the Blue Angels marking came from the Hasegawa TA-4J kit, and some of them were very unwilling to separate from the backing sheet.
I had to shout at them "you are NOT decals, you are transfers, so tranfer from one place to the other", it seemed to work.

Jim

That sounds a really great kit, and you did a super job on it too.

As for shouting at decals, that seems quite normal to me.

Just as is shouting at bits of the kits that just WON'T fit, glue that won't dry (or insists on gluing ME and not the kit bits...) paint that won't dry, or isn't the same colour as an identical tin that I used last week, Klear that isn't and nose weights that aren't heavy enough.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kit
