Hi All,
My first post and the title says it all. Returned to the fray after the usual 25 year absence in 2008 and fell in love again with the old string bags etc. Took me four years to build a whif when I entered the BM GB. Looked upon it as a means to reduce my ever expanding spares box and have been hooked ever since. Have restricted my whif building to the BM and ATF GB's to date and have six constructions on the shelves. My apologies to those who have seen them before but I hope there is something to interest the rest. It also looks as though I will have to rename the Albatros Triplane as Dizzyfugu's 100+ production run must take precedence over a brandy procured one off. Got a couple of ideas on simmer at the moment but none so grand as the very impressive HP U/500 by lenny 100. That got the grey cells activated and I can see myself attempting something similar in the future. But enough prattling, here's my whif production to date.
Regards,
             Steve

Hi, and welcome to the madhouse.  ;D  You've got some wonderful creations there.

Army of One

Oh wow.....some great work there......a master of the dark art of rigging by the looks of it........I'd love to be able to rig like this.......
BODY,BODY....HEAD..!!!!

IF YER HIT, YER DEAD!!!!

Wow, that's what I CALL an entrance!

Nice to see you here Stevehed.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Great entrance ! Love the heavies...I think my fave is the three engine WD5. These would look great on a period base or a wee diorama.

NARSES2

Firstly welcome, secondly lovely entrance

As said you don't see many WWI wifs and you've some great ones there. My personal favourites are the PP4, Paralyser and the WD50. You've hit a spot with me with the Austro Hungarian and Imperial Russian stuff
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Thanks for the welcome and kind words. Much appreciated.

Cool.  Love the Paralyser.

IME the secret to rigging lies in careful selection of which pics you post here so no-one see's the dodgy bits  ;D

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

I like the triple Albatros a lot!

Hi All,
This is my latest addition to the Whif Armada. Built for the current BM Whif GB it is based on Anthony Fokkers first attempt at a fighter, the twin engined M9. It flew terribly but opinion at the time reckoned it could have been made into a decent aircraft. So here she is with all the modifications this aeronautically challenged ex baggage handler could muster. The Fokker K.1 multi engined bomber/long range recce aircraft of an as yet unidentified Feld Flieger Abteilung on the Eastern Front 1917.

And here's the build thread.
