It looks like when it fires it's likely to launch the fuselage and leave the floats and wings behind!

So long as the ship was going fast enough and into wind they may have only needed to let go of it and it would have VTO'd straight up, being a Cub, as it is.

By "archives", do you mean "built a long time ago"? Otherwise, I would not understand, how you can build so many marvels so quick (while for me, each model finishing is SO painful...)
