and the engine is from a Zero actually, which might provide for a japanese accent  ;)

Wasn't that the one that was meant to be launched from MASSIVE submarines?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Never had one.  I pulled my reprint copy of Jane's Fighting Aircraft of WWII after checking the Wiki page and there's (obviously) no entry for the Aichi M6A Seiran.
