- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Dear ericr, your asymmetric seaplane now belongs to the History of asymmetric airplanes...
See at http://www.kristofmeunier.fr/Asymm_addition.htm (temporary end of it, today January 9th 2022)

Could be ideal for making circles and I thought my builds were crazy!

Tophe

Well, I tell you the complete history of this asymmetry:
The boss of the design team said: "I dislike asymmetry, let's restore symmetry with a zwilling version!" then he saw this:

(= link http://www.kristofmeunier.fr/ju52-sm55-bi.jpg )
... then he concluded: 'these internal floats are useless, heavy and dragging, this is bad, so I agree, the asymmetric way is far better, OK!"

You mean the Aeronavale DIDN'T do that for real?

They missed a trick for sure.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kit

Proa is the word you were looking for in regards to the monohull S.55.  ;D

Tophe

Proa? In French (polynesian) we say "prao": it must go back and forth without turning, I fear this could not work with a wing profile... ;) but what if... ;D

I thereby disassembled the twin hull, sorry about that, but the result has some surprise in it nonetheless ?
