That's okay, covered by rule number 4.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Idea is there, but I am lacking the respective kit. Decals are in the pipeline, though.

Hello all

Just a quick note from the mods about the Military/Civilian definition and the dual forum GB entry raised by Ed.

Simple one first. Ed, no problems whatsoever with the dual forum GB, looking forward to seeing what comes out of it.

Hard one next. Thanks for all the discussion about what is Civilian, what is Military and what lies in between. We've decided that the easiest way to do this is to define what "Military" means and then let "Civilian" be what is left over. So the definition of what constitutes "A Military piece of kit" would be this :

" ... a "military" artifact or item would be anything designed primarily for the use of a national and/or government funded organization whose primary purpose is the armed offence or defence of a nation from other national and/or government funded organizations whose primary purpose is armed defence or offence ... "

A "Military organization" would be this:

" ... any national and/or government funded organization whose primary purpose is the armed offence or defence of a nation from other national and/or government funded organizations whose primary purpose is armed defence or offence ... "

So using this definition this would include the obvious - such as the Luftwaffe, USAF, etc - into the military sphere. It would then leave the remainder - including such notables as the Coastguard, NASA, National Parks, CHIPs, SWAT, Girl Guides - into the civilian box.

Hopefully this makes it a bit clearer. If you have any specific "grey" zones just ask.

Darn it, there goes my plan for a Girl Guides B-36 then.  ;D

The trefoil would have looked SO good on the fin.

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Still viable, Kit, just no weapons!

Air-dropped Girl Guides' Cookies! :o

I'm still trying to figure out if GG Cookies fit into the "weapon" category, though.

After the other weeks efforts here I can vouch that they are actually WMDs - Weapons of Mangled Digestion. Last time I felt like that was in the Western Desert in Egypt and that was not a pretty sight

We must be getting close to the point where mentioning Dwarf Bread from Terry Pratchett's Discworld would be appropriate!  ;)

Some rock cakes I've "eaten" at fund raising events would knock Dwarf Bread into a cocked hat

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Unless I've completely misunderstood things, it's still in: the GGs are civilian, the B-36 is military, so you can adapt the latter's airframe for the former, it just can't be a bomber or other military type in it's new guise.

Alternatively turn the Girl Guides into a military organisation.  ;)

But around here (in the USA) those Girl Scouts can be quite militaristic in asking me to buy their Girl Scout cookies as I leave the market.  I feel like I am dodging sniper fire...

Well if Amazon are considering drones for parcel delivery I see absolutely nothing wrong in the Girl Guides using a B-36 for cookie delivery.....for those times when you've just gotta have a lot (and I mean A LOT!) of cookies

It'd be appropriate if the Girl Guide cookies were dropped from a Lancaster...
I agree with Chris, some of the Guide's cooking is tough eating!

I have to be honest and say that although I voted I was somewhat nervy about commiting to another GB. Then 'Firebomber' was mentioned and that has caught my imagination. Always liked the look of those white/red F7Fs, and I think I may have the ideal candidate.... ;D. Time to start carving a 1/48 Richard Dreyfuss.

Just a quick confirmation. I've been quietly working on aircraft for one AF in one theatre of ops, a pet project. Can I stay within this 'world' but create a civilian firebomber under contract to the military as my contribution to this GB...I'd like it to stay within my future display after completion. Is this allowed?

IIRC the Greek Air Force operated (still operates?) CL215 water bombers and even Agcat crop sprayers.  So Mods, what would a fantasy greek crop sprayer be??
