The Mod's are thinking about your request. We have one in the UK and one in Aus which I hope explains the time lag sometimes. I should have been clearer on that before so my apologies to all on that.

As the site Mod who looks after the GB's I like to have a couple of moderators over a 3 month build as it gives us cover for people being away. Having two in different time zones means we can deal with anything urgent quickly (hopefully) the slight down side is that they need to communicate. It really isn't a problem as long as people understand that and after a while the pair of them will get the "feel" for the way each other thinks anyway.

Again sorry I didn't explain this before

Chris
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Keep my fingers crossed. I'd like to have done the same with the 1WKGB but felt too nervous to ask and ended up getting upset about using the swastika etc. One of my nephews now has it and uses it to strafe the grass in his garden ;D.

IIRC the Greek Air Force operated (still operates?) CL215 water bombers and even Agcat crop sprayers.  So Mods, what would a fantasy greek crop sprayer be??

With the current state of the Greek finances, probably grounded.........
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

I have to be honest and say that although I voted I was somewhat nervy about commiting to another GB. Then 'Firebomber' was mentioned and that has caught my imagination. Always liked the look of those white/red F7Fs, and I think I may have the ideal candidate.... ;D. Time to start carving a 1/48 Richard Dreyfuss.
Just a quick confirmation. I've been quietly working on aircraft for one AF in one theatre of ops, a pet project. Can I stay within this 'world' but create a civilian firebomber under contract to the military as my contribution to this GB...I'd like it to stay within my future display after completion. Is this allowed?

Librarian, sorry for the delay. The Mods are OK with the idea and yes, it's allowed. Looking forward to seeing the build.
Going to be finished in 2021 BEFORE I start any da*!#d new ones - CF-IDS Wolverine; Douglas Mawson; Bubba Wants a Fishin' Rig; NA F-100

Against the Wall - Maton Dreadnought; Fender Telecaster; Epiphone Les Paul Studio

UN peacekeeping forces would come under the military banner as they are armed but how about disaster relief?  I have an idea which could be any disaster relief NGO but which I feel would look rather good in white/light blue UN colours.
Also, where do you draw the line between military and secret police?  Would an organisation like the gestapo/KGB/Smersh/UNCLE be military or civilian?

Similar "problem" here, too: I had the idea of a Police vehicle, converted into a firefighter - but that would IMHO not work, so the plan was dropped (for the moment/this GB). A military secret service should work, though, but rather wait for a profound statement from the GB mods' legal department. ;)

I'm thinking of a military aircraft converted into a PDRV secret state police (the dreaded - by capitalist running dogs - SeStaPo) surveillance plane.  It's job wouldn't be to kill people but rather to watch them surreptitiously.  if the secret police are deemed military then I suppose it can become something like a ZTV traffic reporting plane.

Or, a Gundam Mobile Suit repurposed for disaster relief (with a big dustpan & brush).

I know what I want to do, I just need the markings for a certain high-energy soft drink maker....

How well do 1/24 car decals match up with a 1/72 jet aircraft?

IME they are too large.  Are 1/43 decals available?

Secret Police, Intelligence agencies etc. come under military.

On another note, you can put weapons on your civilian build if you wish, for example a Vulcan in black & yellow traffic warden colours enforcing parking infringements with a bit of sunshine.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.
